Ben Cruachan Inn is located in Loch Awe and features a garden and terrace. The property has a bar, as well as a restaurant serving local cuisine. Each room has a flat-screen TV with satellite... Absolutely amazing inn! The confit duck is to die for, and the staff are top-notch. The atmosphere is really welcoming and cosy, and the room is charming. I also really liked that you pre-order your breakfast, and I generally felt really catered to. The location is to die for as well; a stone throw away from the local railway station.

Situated on the shores of the Kyles of Bute, Kames Hotel boasts original Edwardian features, home-cooked food and an extensive range of malt whiskies and local ales. Our stay at this hotel was excellent. The breakfast menu offered a wide selection of options and was cooked to perfection with wonderful ingredients. The hotel has a list of their food suppliers on display and this food provenance is reflected in the wonderful freshly cooked dinners we enjoyed. The main courses were all large portions and very satisfying. The bar had an excellent selection of scottish gins all well worth trying. The room was very comfortable and well appointed and very clean with plenty of tea and coffee supplies. The hosts Irene and Scott are very friendly and made us very welcome.

A traditional, family-run inn built in the 19th-century, located a short walk from the shores of Loch Melfort, The Cuilfail has a bar, a restaurant, free parking and free Wi-Fi. Very elegant hotel, with old-fashioned charm (in the past it was a drovers’ inn), clean, well organized. Very kind and very helpful staff, they welcomed us in the late evening. We didn't try the breakfast, but we enjoyed an excellent whiskey in the pub on the ground floor of the hotel, in a very familiar atmosphere. highly recommended
