Due to the nature of the premises, although we do try our absoloute best to maintain our guests comfort, a level of noise is to be expected due to the Guest Accommodation being located above a popular Public Bar and situated on a main road.We do endeavour to keep this reasonable and limit opening hours etc but the historic character of the Inn does mean it is not completely sound proof. We do politely ask guests to be mindful of this before booking with us.

The people were very welcoming and made us feel very comfortable during our stay. Gave us password to wifi on arrival and said if we needed anything just to ask. Would definitely stay again. Lovely rustic garden too. Great quiz night too!!

Good friendly little pub around the corner "The Minster Inn" that did tasty pizzas. There's a long stay car park opposite which I used (£20 per day) so the car was only about 50 yards away. All in all it made for a brilliant short break. It probably also helped that the sun shone all week 😀

There are good bus connections with stops close by should anyone not fancy the 15 minutes walk. The room was exceptionally clean and the bed was very comfortable too. 🙂

It's simple, elegant, and really leans into its history, leaving me grinning at every reference to the Gunpowder Plot decorating the Inn. It's one of the best places I've ever stayed.
