Wanderers Retreat offers three comfortable guest rooms with-in walking distance of the centre of town and the lake. It is 30 minutes from both ski resorts, Thredbo and Perisher. One room has an en-suite bathroom while the other two rooms share the large main bathroom. A continental breakfast is provided as well as Wi-Fi and off-street parking. There is a very comfortable guest lounge with TV and a wood fire.
My love of the snow and the Snowy Mountains brought me here where I managed ski lodges before starting my own business nearly 20 years ago. I love meeting and welcoming my guests, who come from all parts of the world, to my home. I love travelling and skiing overseas when I get the opportunity.
Wanderers Retreat has views of the lake and is within easy walking distance of the lake and town. The ski resorts are our main attraction during winter for downhill and cross-country skiing. In summer people enjoy a variety of water activities on the lake as well as fishing, bush walking and mountain biking. Mount Kosciusko is a favourite destination for walkers of all ages.
