Great place everything’s close. It’s full of women feels more safer and everyone was very nice and welcoming! Absolutely recommend and at such a good price. Water was hot showers nice bed was comfy, best place to be in SJ and not spend money.

The location was in the heart of Old San Juan and there was a volunteer—who actually also functioned as part of the staff since the reception wasn't manned 24/7—cleaning the place everyday. Despite the COVID-19 restrictions already being lifted, surprisingly there were only a handful of guests when I was there. In my four nights I only had one roommate for two nights in the four-bed room I was assigned to. Another guy had another room all to himself throughout his stay, something very unusual for a hostel in a very good location. I think the place was pretty and modern and vintage-looking at the same time, thanks to the black and white floor, white walls, huge doors, and high ceiling. While the kitchen was very minimal, the common area was super homey for me. I was actually working remotely during my stay and had to start working past midnight; the well-positioned table kept me focused and the TV and wide sofa provided comfort when I needed to take a break (okay, a nap as well). I don't remember seeing air-conditioning controls in the room so it was centralized and was turned on day and night—much needed given how humid San Juan is. Lockers were big and each bed had a lamp. There was a bar just below the hostel, although I failed to grab a drink there. Boo.

Everything was amazing! Friendly staff, secure room, good locker (bring your own lock), clean facilities. The Sunday cookout and DJ party was a lot of fun.

Casa Santurce is a 10 minute walk to Condado Beach and 11 minutes’ drive from Luiz Munoz Marin International Airport. The T5 bus route is 2 minutes’ walk from the hostel and can take you to Old San Juan where you can visit Fort San Felipe del Morro and explore the history of the area. The bus can also take you directly to the airport. Had an amazing stay at this hostel! The affordable price of the rooms was a pleasant surprise, especially given the comfortable accommodations and convenient location just a short stroll from the beach. The laid-back atmosphere of the hostel made it easy to relax and unwind, and the friendly staff were always on hand to offer tips and recommendations for exploring the area. The Easter party was a blast, bringing guests together for a night of music, dancing, and celebration. Will definitely be back!
