Location is excellent - short walk to the town with supermarket, restaurants etc. WiFi was good - was able to do video meetings. The owner was really, really helpful - he booked all my tours and transport without any fee. Laundry service available and done in a few hours for 3 USD per kilogram.

Most magical place in Costa Rica, place is literally in the jungle and you can hear/see monkeys very close in the morning. The breakfast is soo good and rooms are good, it was the best place in which we stayed in Costa Rica

I hiked all three days and saw macaws, toucans, snakes, frogs, monkeys and an anteater. The hostel itself is beautiful and peaceful, and there is a friendly atmosphere between guests. cooking facilities are great, and there is a small shop if you need to top up on food.

Located in Pavones, 500 metres from Playa Pavones, Surf Shack Room #1 provides accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking. At the hostel, all rooms are equipped with a terrace. The location was fairly quiet as there wasn't much road traffic going by. There was AC and the shower had hot water, which my wife loved. The kitchen was an ample size and had everything we needed; even Tupperware to keep our extra food so we didn't leave it in the pans. The rooms didn't feel cramped and had shelf space to put our things. The beds we're comfy and the towels were soft. The covered common area outside the kitchen was a great place to eat and for my wife to work. We would stay here again.
