Janur Bungalow offers an accommodation in Borobudur, set in a village surrounded by rice fields. It boasts an outdoor pool with overflow circulation system. The bungalows are absolutely gorgeous and very comfortable for the concept. The bed and aircon will assure a great night sleep and the pool is small but absolutely beautiful (the views are amazing!!). The whole place is decorated beautifully and it really feels like a little piece of paradise. Bobby (the host) is sweet and very attentive and made us a beautiful floating breakfast the first morning we were there - an amazing experience. The sorrounding landscape and villages are just stunning too. I wished we had stayed longer!

Offering clean and comfortable rooms, Efata Homestay is located just a 5-minute walk from Borobudur Temple. Free WiFi access is available in all areas. The hosts were by and far the best part of the property. Ika and his wife Christina are the sweetest and most attentive owners. When I arrived I was not only presented with a welcome drink and local welcome snacks, but Ika also sat down with me to explain what the snacks were. He also gave me tips on visiting Borodobur and lent me a book on the temple! The next morning even though I accidentally woke up late, Christina still prepared an absolutely delicious brunch of fresh fruit, local pastry, and a local noodle dish (also all explained). They were super flexible and responsive (on WhatsApp as well) and they made the stay easy and so pleasant. On top of this all, the guesthouse is well maintained and it is in a very central location. I highly recommend coming here to stay!

44 Guest House Syariah terletak di Purwokerto, 21km dari Owabong dan 42km dari Mount Slamet. Guesthouse 44 was my second home for a week in Purwokerto. The room was not spacious, but it had all necessary appliances and good air conditioning. A double room was just enough for my luggage, so I suggest if you travel with a partner, get a bigger room, the price is really affordable. The bathroom might surprise you, because it has no sink, just a shower, and no mirror, which is somewhat inconvenient. The room was sparkling clean, the bed sheets and the towels smelled amazing, it was regularly cleaned and supplied with bottled water every day. As a foreigner, you might get some special treatment, as the managers are really caring and put in a lot of effort to be of best service. The breakfast is abundant, if you don't like the local style, they'll prepare you some pancakes, omelette and steamed vegetables, so as to make sure you don't go out hungry. It is a good idea to bring some small present for the lady and her husband who run the hotel (they are about 60) - it will make their day. At their place you will surely feel as a part of a big family. Please bear in mind, that although the hotel is near the city center, you cannot walk in Purwokerto, since the streets are bustling with cars and motorcycles and there are no sidewalks for pedestrians. Walking is really dangerous, so better take a taxi. And speaking of taxies, I can recommend this nice young taxi driver in Jakarta, working for the Bluebird company, who speaks perfect English and is a very honest and helpful person: +62 852-1258-2235 (Willy). You may contact him on WhatsApp in advance, and he'll pick you up at the airport, without an extra fee. I had to bargain with many taxi drivers when I arrived in Jakarta in order to get an almost fair price, while this one trusts his meter, so no need to worry. Good luck with your adventure!

We had a wonderful time. The place was lovely and relaxing. The family was super sweet and while they didn't speak much English they made every effort to communicate with us. On arrival we were given drinks and home made snacks including a range of fruit from the garden. Dinner was cooked for us before settling in for the evening. Before sunrise they gave us a bike ride to the lookout point and had breakfast ready with a delicious homemade tea to send us off. We would happily stay again if we were in the area.
