Everything we weary travellers needed! And, a bonus there: a shelf filled with maps, guide Books and ideas what to do and where to go! Bed comfy, bedlinen and towels as in best Hotels. Shower felt luxurious, plenty of hot water. Easy to heat up the lounge area with a little electric fire, important on wet days! Top tip: BlackLion neighbouring pub has delicious food and great atmosphere, good for dinner. Go and find out, worth it.

We stayed at Pen-Rhos in “Cuckoo’s Nest for four nights in mid January. The scenery surrounding the ‘cabin’ was breathtaking and there was enough space between each cabin for privacy. The space was small, but perfect for two and had every appliance we needed for meals and hot drinks. The bathroom was clean and the shower heated quicker than ours at home. Llandrindod Wells had a few pubs and grocery stores that were close and convenient. Surrounding cities like Newtown, Rhayader, and Builth Wells were great for pub dinners.

Looks like something out of your country dreams, clean, comfortable, Windows you can sit and read in, so utterly beautiful, affordable, right in the middle of the town, small grocery store open late close by and lovely local vegetable shop too, stunning views, great modern kitchen with everything you need, lots of extra blankets, brochures about the area, books, cookbooks, fake fireplace, garden, open and comfy rooms, way more than enough for two people, welcome breakfast basket with bread, tea, coffee, marmelade... I could go on forever. If I'd like to come back? Just ju try to stop me!!
