Anchorstone se encuentra en Half-moon Bay, a 2,6 km de Dead Man Beach, y ofrece alojamiento con jardín, parking privado gratis y zona de barbacoa. The location was superb. The birds singing and friendly Kaka and Tui were fantastic to be amongst. A good view down to the Bay. The host Bill was great and showed us around by car on arrival. There was also a great little car for us to use as we wanted. We explored during the day and one night went kiwi spotting in it. We saw 3 on the roadside of Horseshoe Bay - this was a highlight! Home made Christmas cake delivered to us Christmas morning was also unexpected and delicious. Many thanks to our hosts! The local water taxi services were able to drop us at 2 different points of Rakiura Track and we walked from there back to Oban on 2 different days. Great way to experience the track and still returning to comfy private accomm at night :-)
