The location was rustic but everything seemed very new or renovated. The quasi-private onsen (shared between other people in the house) was absolutely fantastic. The rooms were also spacious with AC/heater, and a pretty comfy bed. The owner was also extremely friendly and prepared for us some amazing meals.

Just stayed at this ryokan and honestly had the best experience! The ryokan is owned by a hospitable couple that speaks English perfectly, of which one is a former photographer and the other is a former chef. The latter can be enjoyed to the fullest as they offer dinner and breakfast. I enjoyed the food so much, that I dare say it is one of the best meals I’ve had in Japan. They use ingredients from their own field in the backyard, which made them fresh and with a lot of flavor. The countryside is also the view for most of the rooms with big windows to enjoy the morning sun. They were also flexible and made me breakfast even though I had to leave really early. I think it is clear that I recommend this ryokan and would love to come back.

Nastanitev Country Inn Mori no Gorilla je v mestu Kitashiobara, 22 km od znamenitosti gora Bandai, in nudi vrt, brezplačno zasebno parkirišče, bar ter neposreden dostop do smučišča. Unique and lovely place to stay. Owners were so kind and helpful. Breakfast and dinner were excellent. We are so glad we stayed there instead of hotel for the last night of our trip. Such a lovely and enjoyable experience!

Good stuff: - The staff are nice, Atsuki-san (I hope I didn’t misremember his name) speaks English and was very welcoming. - A lot of facilities are available including washing machine, hair dryer and straightener, ear plugs, towels, lotion for UV protection and a bed that can heat up for the cold nights. - The location is relatively well let at night and it’s in a market with a coffee shop beside it and a really good tie restaurant less than a minute walk away. It’s about 20 min to walk to Fukushima station and the path is well let at night. The location is quiet but there are bars around so you may encounter some drunk people at night.

Location and price were both great! The facilities were clean and new, and the place had a really friendly atmosphere. There's complimentary alcohol for guests.
