Stayed for 2 nights 21 to 23 September What's there not to like? My stay was exceptional. The place itself has a cottage like vibe. It has everything you need and the decor, features etc is very high spec. Fully equipped kitchen, fridge, microwave etc. A TV with "proper" channels including netflix, very comfortable indeed. Lesley is on hand to answer and help with any questions or queries about the area and things to do. Plus they also offer a very reasonable, very flexible taxi service. Tiptop!!! The cottage is warm and cosy. It is set back in an area surrounded by beautiful green land and in a garden with lovely garden furniture and ample seating areas. It really has the best backdrop. There is also a fully equipped gym which I had the opportunity to use, very considerate to open it up for guests. The hosts have thought about everything you may need for a comfortable getaway. They were brilliant hosts, Lesley and Pat, their welcome was more like going to stay with friends for the weekend! The nicest people you would ever want to meet, hands on, making sure you're comfortable, super pleasant, engaging and just really really nice folks. I highly recommend the Glen Adorable... the name says it all!

I booked this place for my adult son because he had an early flight the next morning. He messaged me whilst he was there and told me how comfortable and well located it was. Parking for his car and easy access to Stansted. Perfect.

He made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. He was a great conversationalist as well.

The best inn I have ever stayed inn! It's a 1500s building and it is gorgeous and fascinating inside. So much to look at, lovingly and tastefully restored and preserved. See pics. Fantastic staff. I didn't use the pub / restaurant but it looked superb. I did have breakfast which was 10 out of 10, see pic. The location is in the heart of the historic old town, all the streets are narrow and quaint, I managed to find parking up the street, but the whole area wasn't designed for motor cars. Be aware that the many steep stairs are not suitable if you have mobility issues or heavy suitcases, so if that's you call them to discuss your options. See the pic of the paper they gave me to help me navigate the labyrinth! Overall the best historic property I have ever stayed in, and I have travelled a lot. Don't miss staying here!

The Compasses er viktorísk krá sem er full af sögu og hefð en það er staðsett í rólega smáþorpinu Littley Green í hjarta Essex-sveitarinnar. I loved the country atmosphere of the accommodation. Staff where very helpful and obliging.

The Sandrock er í aðeins nokkurra mínútna göngufjarlægð frá West Cliff-ströndinni, miðbæ Clacton-On-Sea og bryggjunni Clacton-On-Sea. Ókeypis WiFi er til staðar. Very clean, cosy room, breakfast was perfect. Nice staff. Perfect stay
