Situated in the Piéton district of Gruyères and just 80 metres from Château de Gruyères, Au soleil de Gruyères chez Chantal provides free WiFi and mountain views. The location was incredible; so beautiful! lt is within the town fortified by castle walls and close to both the castle and the Maison de Gruyères. The Maison Cailler was only an hour walk away. The room was also very close to some beautiful nature views. Chantal was very welcoming and accomodating and speaks English well

This place is by far the largest room we have in our 2-week long trip in Europe. It is a nice large studio with an extra bedroom. Some views to the village street, goats and hills at the distance. Nice and quiet. No AC, but it was fine for us in early September. I'm not sure how it is in the heat of summer. Breakfast brought to our room in the morning, very nice host who likes to please her guests. Pay with cash.

The location in the center of the old town is amazing. The room is large, and you can feel the character of the historic building.

Pension fein & sein se află în Schwarzsee și are o grădină, un lounge comun, o terasă și facilități de sporturi nautice. The staff were amazing, a small cozy We ended up getting free breakfast, it was really good.

Montbovon’s Hotel Pension de la Gare is just 100 metres from Lake Lessoc and offers free WiFi and free parking. Rooms at the Hotel Pension have wooden furnishings, a desk, a wash basin and wardrobe. Great location, beautiful view, clean and tidy room. As it was off-season for tourists, I was the only traveller in the hotel during my stay, but the manager was still very welcoming and friendly. The breakfast was well organised and delicious! The manager prepared an extra croissant for me every day after learning that I like croissants. The shower gel in my room was taken away by a previous guest and the manager replenished it with two, lent me a hairdryer and provided me with extra pillows on request. If you are planning a trip to Château-d'Oex or Montreux, I highly recommend staying at this good value hostel. I will be coming back very soon!

It was perfect for a visit to Switzerland. In the mountains, but only 30 minutes from Lausanne. I was treated with such kindness and hospitality. I can only imagine the property during ski season.
