Nadia and Salvatore are the two kindest and most considerate hosts you could ever imagine, who have created a perfect little paradise tucked away in one of the best spots of the island for some peace and quiet! As soon as I booked, Nadia was already in touch to facilitate my arrival, and continued to give great me tips and recommendations all throughout my trip. In addition to wonderful hosts and a beautiful place that also includes sloths, howler monkeys, and other amazing nature right in the garden plus a little private cove, the food is also divine! Breakfast and dinner each day were really a treat. Thank you Nadia and Salvatore for the most wonderful weekend! I will definitely be coming back again :)

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are included in the cost of your stay and the on-site organic gardens supply many of the ingredients for meals.

Being fully immersed in the jungle is such an experience! Monkeys came to visit, saw so many animals/birds. Food was so so good! The organic chocolate has no match… just heavenly! Loved the bioluminescence excursion at night. Wonderful people at the facility. Really enjoyed it a lot!

At the inn each room comes with air conditioning, a wardrobe, a flat-screen TV, a private bathroom, bed linen, towels and a patio with a garden view. At Casa Acuario Boutique Hotel rooms have a seating area.

My family and I stayed in six different hotels across Panama over a two week period and the consensus at the end was that Casa Acuario was the favourite. And by quite a distance. First of all, it’s just a cool place to stay. On stilts, over clear warm water, perfect for the kids (and adults) to snorkel, we got to see shawls of small fish along with a few big ones and the odd ray within seconds of our arrival. We were a two minute boat-taxi away from Bocas town and its modest number of good bars and restaurants, but staying at Casa Acuario meant we got the peace and quiet which the mainland didn’t look like it easily provided. The room we were in (upstairs) was easily big enough for two adults and the kids (aged 13 and 10), nicely decorated and with really comfortable beds and a hammock from which you could overlook the sea. As dog lovers, my children were over the moon that there were three (clean, friendly and well behaved) dogs on site. There were a couple of good places to eat and drink on the small island which we could get to on foot from Casa Acuario, and a nice beach about 15mins walk from the hotel. The fridge full of beer on the decking was also a nice touch! But alongside all of these positives, the main thing that gave Casa Acuario the ‘X Factor’ were the owners, Mandy and JP. We were made to feel welcome from minute one, they could not have been more helpful and they made a real impression on the whole family in our three days with them. And just to provide a little context, after Casa Acuario were went to the nearby, and much more expensive, Eclypse de Mar Acqua Lodge for two nights which, before arriving, I thought was going to be the highlight of the Bocas itinerary. Take nothing away from The Eclypse which was seriously nice, but I wish I’d stayed at Casa Acuario for the full duration. Definitely in the top 5 favourite hotels I’ve stayed in across six continents.

The price is very cheap, especially for a private room. Hostel was pretty quiet and chill. Kitchen was well equipped and there’s plenty of refrigeration space. Staff were helpful. Located very close to restaurants, bars, clubs and boat taxi harbours.

Very nice accomodation with great hosts, good cocktails, great pool, big garden and great food. The host built the whole thing by themselves, which is very impressing. We stayed at the big bungalow and it was simply perfect. If you want to relax and calm down this is the place to be. Food is not cheap but very good! I can totally recommend this place and would love to stay there again pretty soon!

Sandrine was a great host, she made amazing breakfast in the morning with crepes and fresh fruit. Having breakfast with a beautiful view was the highlight of our stay :) The rooms were clean and spacious, with all amenities. There was always fresh drinking water available. There are bicycles that you can borrow that makes it very easy to get to restaurants/groceries/etc. We really enjoyed our stay and recommend Villa Amaya 10/10.

Sally and Mike are great hosts! Very friendly, very helpful, it was an amazing stay overall. The whole place is very cosy, comfortable, rooms and bathrooms are very spacious, clean and cute and with AC! You can also borrow snorkle and kayak and rent bikes and they give you great tips on places to visit nad eat. The best place for a 'honeymoon' stay in Bocas if you look for a quiet place where you can jump in the water right after breakfast :)

One of the best all round apartments I’ve ever stayed in, particularly on an island. Extremely well equipped with lots of thoughtful touches around the place to make the stay as comfortable as possible. Great location, quiet but near everything. Brilliant host! Very friendly and helpful person who will go out of her way to make everything perfect for your stay and give advice on what to do/where to go. The bikes included with the apartment were also a big bonus for getting around the island.

We had a perfect stay at Saigon Bay B&B. Comfortable and clean rooms, amazing breakfasts, great location over the water with lovely outdoor space, we could use bikes, a kayak and snorkelling gear to explore the island.
