The room is very clean and near central station. The service was excellent, i had a problem with my low back and the female owner profided me an extra mattress, she brought our suitcases down stairs and even drove us to the central station because all the taxis were occupied !! This lady is a rare gem!

The staff were incredible, helpful, informative and spoke pretty good English so easy to communicate as a tourist/ foreigner The shared 4 bed female dorm was downstairs nearby 24hr toilet / shower which was handy as it was next door Shared common space for all travellers including fridge, microwave, kettle, tv/lounge area Right next to popular sites such as Nishiki Market Very clean space and comfortable bed with curtains for privacy and reading light

This is a best place to stay in Kyoto! Owners are extremely nice, polite and their homemade cooking and baking is heavenly! Do yourself a favor and book breakfast with them. We spent 4 night at this place and I couldn’t be happier. Room are cozy and spacious for Japanese standards, position of the place is nearby subway station and near 7-eleven. Mattress of the bed was nice and firm, wifi, hot water reliable, and the whole place for spotless clean. I wish the owners only the best customers!

English communication is good. The room is big and beautiful. There is a washing machine. Very nice personal, the owner is so kind asking whether we will need a ride to the Kyoto train station. The tatami + floor heating + Japanese floor mat is so comfortable even in winter! I really enjoy the shared bathing. (You still bath privately, no worry.)
