This quietly-located hotel is a 10-minute walk from Winterberg town centre and a 5-minute walk from Winterberg Bike Park, bobsleigh track, climbing centre and ski slopes. Staff is very nice. The same guy - the hotel owner or his son - was working as a receptionist, a cook and a cleaner and he was doing it all very good. The breakfast was fantastic. It was also a great pleasure to talk with him. And the view from my room's window was astonishing.

Would go back just for those, but the sauna with panoramic view completes the awesomeness of this place. On top of the outside pool (which gets a great view of the sunset), there is a gigantic indoor pool (this one unfortunately closes at 19h) and a great indoor wellness part that stays open until late.

There were beers and soft drinks available from a fridge. The swimming pool was large enough to do some exercise in and to cool down in after a hot day. The lady that greeted me was very friendly and helpful.
