Located in the centre of Bern, Hotel National is only a 5-minute walk from the Main Train Station. Guests can dine in the restaurant and make use of free Wi-Fi. Loved this hotel. The location was excellent; close to the train station and the Old City. Trams & buses were seconds away. The room was comfortable & spacious - so nice to finally have space to open a suitcase - leave it accessible & even to unpack. The hotel had several common areas where you could hang out. The front desk sold postcards & stamps, as well as water. We had a corner room overlooking the street below, which gave us a great view of the hustle & bustle outside. The water pressure in the shower was amazing! Breakfast was included and was well stocked with coffee/tea, breads, yogurts, fruit, eggs (soft or hard boil), cheeses, fresh squeezed orange juice, and more. The staff was very friendly and helped direct us to our follow-up Covid tests.
