The Plaza Hotel is located in the city centre of Recife, only 6 km from the beach. It offers views of the Capibaribe River. The staff is excellent, really welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was also really nice.

The staff is SO NICE. I had a flight early the day I left (on Easter, no less), and they prepared a little breakfast for me so that I had something to eat (my flight was way before breakfast started). The napkin was even folded in the shape of a rabbit! And it was absolutely pouring that day, and the nice guy working the desk walked me to the taxi holding an umbrella for me. Everyone went way above and beyond.
