Wonderful stay! This is a beautifully refurbished property in a prime location. Truly old fashioned hospitality- in a modernized environment. Staff were so friendly and welcoming. Everywhere was spotlessly clean.

The area I stayed at in Summerstrand was very beautiful and quiet. It’s clean and close to the beaches. Overall, I found PE to be relatively laid back. A cosy city for a traveller needing some peace and quiet.

Professional yet warm and friendly hosts that made us feel comfortable. The rooms are spotlessly clean and tastefully furnished and the facilities are exactly what we wanted. Much attention to safety and environmental aspects that provide a sense of security and serenity.
Highly recommended and I will definitely be back. Thank you Tommy and Leonie ❤️

Port Elizabeth is a beautiful coastal city with miles of beaches and is true to its nickname the Friendly City. The older parts in Central have stunning views and buildings but unfortunetaly the local government has allowed it to become neglected, uncared for and in some places dangerous. What a pity, as the old centre with its harbour views and gracious historical buildings should be the gem of the city.
That said, there are still other places worth a visit as property owners in the central area really make an effort to keep their properties well maintained and in the spirit of what it used to be.
There are many restaurants and my favourites are the local ones, each with their own vibe and unique menus. I just love Port Elizabeth.

Gqeberha to give its official name is a fairly relaxed place as largish cities go. It has great beaches though you need to be prepared for windy weather that can reduce the fun of being on a beach.
There is a lot of history, with interesting sites to visit. Also some great food options.
It is not the country’s top tourist hot spot but has plenty of attractions that are in any case better enjoyed without a massive crowd.

We liked everything about the place.
We liked everything about the place. The owner waited for us because our check in time was delayed buy our bus for about 30+ min. Our child loved the set up very much. The privacy we got was excellent. I would recommend Peradise in the City to anyone who visits Port Elizabeth!👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽
Modern Rooms is in Humewood, a suburb of Port Elizabeth quite far from the center (>3km), but close to the beaches. The location is safer than downtown and not as neglected.
Accommodation is very basic, but has all necessary facilities such as WiFi (worked well), hot shower, shared kitchen and washing machine. The lift to the 6th floor was operating (warning: when there is a powercut, you might get stuck). Security is good (there is a watchman guarding the premises also at night). The place is kept clean. More privacy than in a dorm.
Beautifully designed hotel where every detail is taken care off.
The breakfast is exceptional: there is a freshly made buffet and you have amazing à la carte choices which are included in the price.
The owners are super nice people who even picked us up at the airport and dropped us off the next day where we picked up are rental car.
I ve been to a lot of hotels in the world but never experienced a personal service like this.
I wish we would have stayed longer.
All the best to Kevin, Gaele and Justice. Je
A colonial style hotel. I can’t single out any of the staff as they were all very good. Big rooms and a splendid balcony. Also, a superb bathroom with an excellent shower and the option of a deep bath if that’s your preference. The room servicing was immaculate The food was outstanding. I was on my own in the dining room each night yet the food was as good as any I’ve enjoyed over the years and I have now reached old git status. Sincerely, one of the loveliest hotels I’ve ever stayed in.
Located close to summerstrand area. In a quiet residential area. Access via gates into a self contained compound. The room was very comfortable with large bathroom, lounge, bedroom & garden area. We ate at the hotel and the food was nice and good wine was available. I would estimate there are less than 10 bedrooms so it's more like a large house than a hotel.
In one word WOW!!
it was amazing the room was amazing just beautiful more than gust can expect.
the managers and employees were the best take care of us like family and take care for all our needs!
we recommend for everyone is in port Elizabeth must stay there
We were a large group of 10 and Jackie went out of her way to accommodate us and ensure that our stay was comfortable. The location was perfect for our needs, very quiet surroundings with easy access into Port Elizabeth and it's surroundings.
The rooms and showers were very clean and we are extremely fussy .
The order- in room service menu was awesome. The food was delicious hot and well presented.
It is cleaner than most of the hotels in the same range. No stuffy smells.
This cosy little place is located near Port Elizabeth’s airport, very convenient for those who want to take a flight to Kruger national park. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. Their little garden is a nice place to relax.
The place is in summerstrand close to the boardwalk mall and few minutes away to the beachfront, which my children enjoyed.
There is a restaurant within the apartments and the food was great and very affordable.
no breakfast offered, its self catering place, the location suits me well, it allows me to move around places without getting lost as i'm not much familiar with the city. It is affordable and worth for the price.
Luxurious hotel with spacious ocean view room including a balcony. Great buffet breakfast. Very close to waterfront so great to walk. Quick and easy access to shopping mall and casino.
The staff are exceptionally friendly, the breakfast is better than most 5 star hotels, and while I was there, they were busy putting in batteries to avoid loadshedding.
