The staff was a 10/10!! They were amazing. They really gave us that family feeling and accommodated everything around our 2 boys. While dinner was at 7, they arranged food for them at 5. The pool is beautiful and the garden is very big, kids loved running around. There is a playground and we saw monkeys early morning.

Clean, easy to get to, friendly, easy parking, lovely restaurant, easy to get to Addo elephant park to do game drives. nothing was too much effort and good instructions on how to get places. Please don't take R 335 take the R 342 its safer back to PE.

The gravel road from Uitenhage to Addo was bad.

The gravel road from Uitenhage to Addo was bad. Only one restaurant open on a Sunday. Addo Elephant Park as always is a pleasure to visit. Longer travel time due to stop and go for roadwork, just be aware.

We can’t get enough of the Elephant Park and we’re loving the Safari’s at Schotia. Zip lining at Adrenaline is also one of our favourites. We are living 4 hours away from Addo, so most of the time we are coming for the weekend ( Two nights) . It’s always too short… The area "Addo" is not really nice, but there are nice places to stay.

Addo Elephant National Park was nice.

Addo Elephant National Park was nice. We saw tons of elephants, zebras, and other resident animals native to this area in the park. Probably best to spend one night in accommodations in or near the national park and then the other night in one of the game reserves near the park.

Addo has a lot to see but as with all national parks, what you see will depend on weather and season. The park is small enough to cover in a day but definitely would recommend a longer stay. Elephants are always there but what I enjoy more are the smaller things like the birds. The bush is dense so if self driving, slow down.

Watching the elephants swimming at the different dams, it was a good experience. We spent the whole day driving around hoping to see a lion with no luck. I don't think they have a lion. I haven't heard any guest saying s/he saw a lion.

We booked here so that we could go into Addo daily and the house was about 20 minutes from the main gate which suited us perfectly. We did self catering and enjoyed the braai area very much. My son enjoyed fishing in the pond. We had lovely walks around the farm too. We were very happy with our accommodation. We even had a bonus tour around the farm with the owner on his Jeep. Would definitely recommend this accommodation to others.

Very close to Addo Elephant park. The area feels a bit unsafe, but the owner did a well job to have full protection. Also super friendly. We stayed very short, so we couldnt see the beauty of the domain, but the view on the garden during breakfast was promising! Good beds. Tip: If you come from the airport, try to avoid the suburbs around Port Elizabeth when driving in the evening. Better make a small detour over Coega.

What a beautiful estate! It starts already with the road through Addo park to get to Stellenhof, if you are lucky you will already spot animals along the road. The estate itself is beautifully set up - the doms are so nicely set up as well. Everything looks very well maintained, very friendly staff, good food and breathtaking environment. Would definitely recommend this place! Thanks for having us!!

The location of the Avoca River Cabins and its proximity to the Addo Elephant Park is brilliant. The view from Uncle Townies where we stayed, overlooked the citrus groves and it was awesome. Breakfast was great, and was at another well laid out venue. Although this is a working farm there was no noise from implements being used. We will definitely return to explore the area more.

The villa was a lovely, large, thatched roof cottage with antique furniture and a four poster bed. Large balcony. Nice pool. The restaurant was great with an interesting selection including kudu and eland. Staff were all friendly and helpful, especially Edwin. The game drive into Addo that they arranged with Saul was exceptionally good.

The Room was standalone and private and perfectly sized with good catering facilities. The service was outstanding with amazing breakfasts. We didn't eat dinner or lunch due to the great facilities for self catering within the unit but the menu looked great. Fast access to Addo I couldn't recommend enough.

Sam, the guide was great. The shared facilities are wonderful. Veranda with fireplace used for both nights. Room small but everything new and well appointed. Great value. You see animals you don’t see in Addo so definitely worth the short drive from the main road.
