We booked last-minute and felt very welcomed by Lynn and her sweat little dog. Location, room, breakfast and host are great! Don’t hesitate to book a room - you will not regret staying here.

Starkville is a small college town. I came for graduation. The campus is beautiful and usually if you are coming to Starkville is is for college related events. They have a lot of restaurants. I recommend Harvey’s steak house, Walt-on’s sports bar and restaurant or The famous Bulldog Burger. They won’t disappoint. It is easy to get wherever you want to go.

We were there for our son's graduation from MSU. We ate at Umi Japanese Steakhouse & Sushi Bar in Columbus, MS for dinner. The hibachi was amazing, and our server was excellent! Highly recommend Umi...there is also a location in Starkville.

We were there on a rainy day and still the town and Mississippi State were awesome. We’re already planning a vacation this summer. Also, my daughter loves the place, the people and the atmosphere. We’ll worth the trip and more in the future. The Montgomery B&B capped it all off as the best place to stay when you visit Starkville.

We love starkville. #hailstate!
We love starkville. #hailstate! Bulldog burger is my #1 favorite place to eat but great runner ups are mugshots and staggerin bar and grill. Not to mention we are die hard CFA fans. StrangeBrew coffee house has the best coffee and hot chocolate- yes better than starbucks. There isnt many places to shop in the area but Columbus is 20 mins away if you needed like a mall. We like to attend the MSU games and walk around dirt cheap🤪

Time limited us from seeing the city.
Time limited us from seeing the city. Other than the hotel and the campus, we went to Walmart for gas and a few extra items. What we saw appeared clean, well kept, good variety of restaurants and shops.

I have been working in Starkville for a year, staying in town 2 - 4 nights per week. For a college town with a major university in it there is not a lot to do here. There are some great restaurants and the basic shopping to meet your needs but not much else. Traffic is pretty bad when school is in session. There is one movie theater, one super Walmart, on Kroger, and that's about it.
We selected the Montgomery B&B for a change of pace from our standard hotel stays when traveling for business. It exceeded all expectations. The house was beautiful. The bed was amazing. The towels were soft. The room was spotless. Good water pressure. When I was asked for an iron, one was quickly presented. Lynn made us a wonderful breakfast in the morning.... We are grateful for the kind welcome from such a generous host and you will be glad you booked a room at this B&B.
Breakfast was great. And plentiful! Our kids got involved, helping with the making of waffles and really enjoyed a family meal.
Honest staff, very helpful, and caring.
Couldn’t ask for better House keeping, they were very nice respectful and really deserve a pay raise just for that alone.
Overall this was a great Stay at an affordable, clean, and friendly Hotel. I’d recommend booking early and staying here to anyone.
Location to MSU campus is very close. For some, it is within walking distance to the football stadium. Also close to the best restaurants and shops in Starkville. Parking is a nice garage at the back of the hotel. We didn't get to try breakfast but the bar and dining area are very nice. Great outdoor pool. The beds are very comfortable! Nice that check out is at 12:00 unlike most hotels at 11:00.
The only positive thing was that it had a room available a month out, in Starkville, on MSU Homecoming weekend. They required a $100 deposit on the room, and they initiated reposting it to my card when we checked out, and the money was returned in 3 days.
Everything was nice and clean. The staff was super friendly, and the breakfast was very good. I will definitely stay here the next time we need a hotel in the Starkville area.
Beautiful property! Our go to now when we travel to Starkville. We stayed in the cabin this trip… It was quaint and cozy and exceeded our expectations!
