We really liked the small home feel to it. Really comfortable. I like that you can park right next to your room. Having a living area and room separate was nice.

Pool was great, it was heated, so we could come back from the beach and continue the fun. Easily walkable to the beach. Rooms were well equipped with a fairly full kitchen. Beds were comfortable, bathroom was well designed. Staff went out of their way to reunite a lost bag with my 10 year old, so extremely happy with the service. Breakfast was well stocked, with lovely staff. Even a secondhand bookshop, where you could swap a book.

Very touristy town but lots of things to do and you can stay right on the beach or in any number of rentals near the beach or farther in town. The food can be a little pricey but the restaurants we visited were VERY good for the price. We went fishing but didn’t catch anything. 😥 But I will go again. The price was VERY good (March) for this time of year and the weather was breezy and cool. We could see and hear the ocean from our 2nd floor condo.

My family and I have been going to Port Aransas for many years now...especially during thanksgiving week/weekend. After cooking Thanksgiving Dinner for 20+ years, one year my wife and I decided to do like the movie Christmas with the Kranks and, rather than stay home for the usual Thanksgiving dinner, we decided to start enjoying thanksgiving on the coast. So, with all the kids and grandkids and other family, the first year we literally had hot dogs and marshmallows over an open fire on the beach for our thanksgiving meal. Other years we have ate out at the many restaurants, or heated up a pre-cooked HEB dinner in our hotel rooms, or had something cooked and picked up from a local restaurant like Macdaddy's (yum!). We try to have a different type of Thanksgiving dinner each year. Since then, it has become a holiday tradition for the whole family to meet down there and have fun... and each year bringing more family members who heard how much fun it was from others.

Miles of beach access, great places to stay, various fishing opportunities; be it deep sea, bay, pier, jetty, surf, etc. Easy access to Corpus Christi if wanted/needed. I've been coming to Port-A for 56 years, starting when it was nothing more than a sleepy little fishing town.

Port A is great for me because of location to my residence and quality of beaches and water for fishing among other amenities. Nice affordable eating places, value in hotels, and I have made many friends with locals over the years. Local businesses are nice and accommodating to visiting travelers. Town is nice and clean with alot of rebuilding construction and upgrading. I go in the off season so not much crowding to deal with which I enjoy. I rent a cart to get around town and perfect for me.

This time of year in Port Aransas it is not as crowded.
This time of year in Port Aransas it is not as crowded. All the restaurants are excellent. People are very friendly. The whole island is pretty much dog friendly. We try to make it every year for vacation. We are never disappointed when we go there. Places to check out. The Gaff for the best pizza. Shorty's Bar, oldest bar in Port A. Salty Dogs, best drinks and kaoroke. Seafood, Fin's, Castaway's, Virginia's, Trout Street Bar & Grill,Moby Dick's and Kody's are among some really good seafood places.
The location was nice and very close to the beach and other main areas. To be honest that's all I can really think of that I liked about the place, nothing else really stood out and they over sold how nice the hotel it. It's basically just a motel, like I know hotels make their rooms look nicer than they are (I've stayed at plenty) but this place really did everything they could to play it up. Just pay a bit extra somewhere else bc this place wasn't really that worth it now that I think back on it
We usually stay at the Hilton Gardens, Holiday Inn, and the Marriott, so this place, being much older, had its very own personal touch. It was welcoming. This place was very clean. We were a group of 3 couples. All of our rooms were spotless clean, with seating outside. It had 2 rocking chairs and a small table to drink our coffee in the morning and late evenings. It was so quiet. It has a very nice heated pool. It was perfect for what we went for and that was the beach.
My main concern was #1 when we arrived, our room was in the process of being cleaned, so we sat outside while they cleaned it. they said they were told we would not arrive until the next day. #2 And the worst part, when we checked out I had left my life treasure of fishing lures in a Cabelas case. My wife phoned repeatedly and was told it was not found. I can't help but think the cleaners stole my bag of fishing equipment. We will not stay there again.
- the location is within 10 minutes walking distance of most of the bars and restaurants in Port Aransas, you dont even need to rent a golfcart to get to most things
- the pool, even on New Years Eve was heated to 90F
- the whole facility, from parking to the pictures of the room all looked exactly like the pictures on booking.com
This was a last minute stay so we were lucky to get a room so close to the beach. It was clean & had a kitchenette (unexpected since I was just trying to get a room).
Inn was recently renovated so it was nice.
I give it a high rating for what it is…an inn, not a big fancy hotel but suited my unexpected need.
Accommodations made in direct accordance for visitors obviously, however this specific hotel staff was very friendly and seemed to have “love” for their visitors. Rooms were clean and comfy. Cool little pool/hot tub area. Great for an easy day with kids if you dont want to be on the beach.
Very clean and the staff was amazing! They were all hard working and friendly. Pet friendly and had plenty of butt buckets around for smokers. There was not a minute that the workers were not cleaning or taking trash to the dumpster. For the price it was awesome!
We loved being on the beach. The drive thru gate on the beach is super cool. We loved having a laundry room. The condo was so spacious. It was the best place I've ever stayed at in Port Aransas. I will definitely be back! Thank you for everything.
it’s cleaner than the other hotels in Port Aransas. I’m a local and don’t like having to pay the $100 deposit. it seems you could write something in the comments saying “left completely clean” and frequent stays. do not charge $100 depisit
Staff was great and the property is located close to everything you would need and is just a 3-4 minute drive to beach access. We were also able to take our pup since they are pet friendly.
Nancy is a treasure. Our "hotelroom" was realy an appartment. Separate bedroom, bathroom, a livingroom with a kitchenette. No hotel can be closer to the sea.
Our favorite Port Aransas basic hotel. Perfect place to stay when were at the beach most of the day. Reasonably quiet. VERY clean, even more since covid.
