Palo Alto is a cute city with tons of things to do. Plenty of food options to eat at, tons of shopping, and events to go to. It is a little bit more on the pricey side but worth the visit. The farmer's market is one of our favorite things to do on Sunday when we visit.

Stanford University was nice.
Stanford University was nice. I spent most of my time in the library, but the architecture was nice.
The city is extremely expensive for food. Restaurants were very pricey, and even groceries were costly.
There is a lot of homelessness and people living in campers. It is not the nightmare that San Francisco is, but it is tragic to see such affluence and poverty side-by-side.

Palo Alto is an affectionately weird mix of California egalitarianism and Silicon Valley Venture Capitalism. I only come to the city for health care at Stanford Medical Center, which is world class, all the way!

It was a good hotel, very comfortable but if you want a meal in the evening or weekend forget it. The hotel does not serve meals during those times. I will go to the Courtyard next time I am in the area.

The Stanford University campus is worth a visit and a guided tour if you can book one. The Baylands nature preserve is a beautiful place to take a walk or just relax. Shopping and eating at the Stanford Shopping Mall with its variety of large and small shops is delightful.
This is a 50's style motel that has been updated. It sits off the main road of El Camino Real with a courtyard of big oak trees and patio chairs. There is a nice pool and the area around the pool is well furnished. There is always a big jug of water with ice for refreshment. We had a corner room which was quite large and comfortable. Breakfast is brought to your door and was mostly continental, i.e. fruit, yogurt, bagel, etc. It is close to downtown Mt. View, Palo Alto, and Stanford. The value was excellent.
The most disappointing part of my stay at the hotel is the breakfast. The staff explained that the food available for Monday and Tuesday is usually very low because the supply arrives on Wednesday. By Monday, the supply would normally be insufficient for all the guests. I hope the management can help the person in charge to order sufficient quantity for the guests especially for those staying on Monday and Tuesday.
this place oozes charm! I loved the atmosphere and the comfort. the home-like vibe makes you feel like you actually live in Palo Alto. the location is superb for the town and Stanford Uni and campus. there was great coffee in the room and it was good to see large toiletries’ bottles resulting in waste
the owner was super friendly and helpful
Loved the entire experience - the room was large as well as the bathroom with vaulted ceilings. Super comfortable and the walking paths and ponds were super soothing. We had our pets with us as well and the entire environment was great for them with easy access in and easy access out. Our new favorite hotel in Palo Alto for sure.
The office staff was friendly & accommodating. I found the cable channel selections to be good, the bed to be comfortable, & the room to be very clean. The location was great since it is located on the main drag in Palo Alto, so it is very convenient to everything. There is free WiFi as well. I would stay at this hotel again.
I stayed at the house for 10 days and it was a great experience. In addition to the house being excellent and well located, the hosts are good people and the community that lives and visits the house is very inspiring. When I return to Palo Alto I will definitely stay there again
Excellent location near Stanford, California Ave, and Palo Alto. Pleasant, efficient staff. Clean rooms with fridge, Keurig, and microwave, full bath with nice soap, clean fluffy towels. Quieter than expected on El Camino Real. Fast WiFi.
A real drive-up motel.
The location can't be beat--it's in the center of downtown and not a bad walk to Stanford University. Room prices are more affordable than competing hotels in the area. There is no shortage of great restaurants nearby. And the lobby is beautiful and inviting.
We had a large room with excellent facilities. The hotel gardens are amazing and the staff awesome. It’s a bit of a gem much better than the big brand hotels. The poolside restaurant is very good we eat there for several evening of our stay
Great location in Palo Alto downtown, close to Stanford University and SLAC. Large rooms with a comfortable bed, and microwave, fridge and coffee machine. I very much liked the inductor-based smart-phone recharger next to the bed.
The room is very clean. The landscaping is very beautiful. The location is superb. It is only a 5-minute drive to the old Palo Alto Residencial area and a few minutes to restaurants and Stanford. Highly recommended.
The staff are fantastic, especially Christian who gave us a little tour of some of the beautiful original features of the hotel. It’s so charming. Rooms were large and airy and clean.
Great place to stay while in Palo Alto! Quite close to different locations and very near WalGreens and CSV. I mostly stayed there for resting but it was great!
it was conveniently located in Palo Alto. Staff was very nice, especially working in their restaurant. The breakfast was good. pool area was pretty and clean,
