The owner was an absolute JOY and was incredibly helpful with area restaurants, shuttle, and attraction information. She always had a kind and joyful smile for us when she saw us coming and going on the property. The beds were incredibly comfortable. The entire hotel had a retro vibe to it and we felt like family the entire time. We will definitely be coming back.

We started going to Manitou Springs in 1988 and it has changed quite a bit but it is still a smaller town that offers everything for everyone. We keep coming back after all these years because it is beautiful and centrally located. The first day we arrived we ate at Savelli's Italian Restaurant in downtown, they have the best Pizza in town. We have eaten there every time we visit Manitou Springs. We had a birthday dinner at Crystal Park Cantina and it was excellent! The heart of the town is full of shops, activities, places to eat, something for everyone no matter what age you are. We love it there!

Absolutely adorable little tourist area in this town.
Absolutely adorable little tourist area in this town. It's super close to Colorado Springs, but nestled within the mountains. So, you can feel like you're much farther away from the 'city' than you actually are. There are lots of lovely little locally owned shops and restaurants, and though we did not partake there is an adorable arcade/games area. Really wonderful area!

I loved Garden of the Gods, and it is free.
I loved Garden of the Gods, and it is free. I enjoy hiking and running and there are many trails in the area. Downside was that there were lots of other tourists there and you had to make reservations for many activities instead of going whenever you wanted to. Overall a spectacular city to visit!

Manitou Springs was one of the first early settlements in...
Manitou Springs was one of the first early settlements in Colorado. It sits at the base of Mt. Blue Sky (Pikes Peak) but too close to see the mountain. You can take a really pretty mountain drive right out of Manitou Springs and enjoy hikes along the way. It has a lovely Historic downtown area with many Victorian buildings. There are great restaurants and fun gift shops. A creek runs through town with a park along its sides and a lovely walkway. It's not large so a day or two in town is plenty for the town itself. But the mountains are gorgeous and you could spend a lifetime there.
Colorado City, Colorado's first capital, sits next to Manitou. It's full of antique arcades and candy stores, small walkways, and hot dog cafes. Both towns are just outside of Colorado Springs so the usual city entertainments, clubs, restaurant fare and movies are close by.
The Broadmoor is a gorgeous, enormous historic hotel to just go see. It's grounds are lovely, including a lake with manicured landscaping and walkways and the Olympic Ice Skating training rink. The accompanying Golden Bee is a very unique and old restaurant with a huge dark wood, mirrored bar, bartenders with arm garters, and darling embroidered bee emblems with sticky backs they give to children (or anyone else who asks). The food is great. It's the picture of a posh place in the 19th century West. Don't miss it!

The staff was rude and kicked us out after we paid because of a service animal and my autistic son. And take a copy of my credit card because of my service animal for seizures and told me that was unacceptable.

The desk people that checked me in were very friendly and I forgot to pick up my credit card, they brought it to my room for me before I even noticed I didn’t have it. We were going on the Pikes Peak cog rail the next morning. Easy short drive from room to cog rail parking.we wanted an early start so breakfast at motel was not served that early. Pancake House was just short distance from motel. Great breakfast! And was not a long wait.

Great location, lovely town, close to all you want to do in the area - we stay in Manitou Springs when visiting our college kid. The hotel was fine other than the beds, not comfortable for us. Too soft and also bouncy - if you are sleeping alone it's ok, but if you share a bed with another person, you are bounced around every time they move. My spouse and I stayed in the separate queen beds in the room and then it was fine, but I prefer a firm, non-moving bed.
Room and bed were very comfortable. The whole facility was very clean. Location was good for us as we were right next to the highway 24 entryway and traveling to Woodland park. If you are there to see Manitou Springs it is a long walk into town but doable. There maybe a shuttle you could take. Breakfast was okay, not bad, not great. I do love their gooey cinnamon rolls. Mattress and linens were very nice.
The room was very spacious and clean. The recycling chair was very comfortable.
Breakfast was above average when compare to hotels/ Inns like this ones. The staff answered all my questions regarding the hotel amenities and the local town. The location is very accessible from HWY 24 and HWY 24 BUS. It is very close to restaurants in the area.
Lovely apartment in the heart of old town Manitou Springs. Tastefully decorated with full size kitchen, dishwasher and washer/dryer. Secure off the street parking and steps away to catch the free shuttle to the Manitou Incline and cog train to Pikes Peak. Lovely balcony to enjoy your, morning coffee. It's great place!
The breakfast offered there was very good. There were choices each day and I never saw anyone disappointed in the offerings. Everything I tried was delicious. The staff were excellent!
The entire hotel was very neat and clean. The pool and exercise rooms were tidy as well.
This is a whole house, a few minutes (steep) walk from the main street of Manitou Springs. There is a full kitchen, living area, bedroom, bathroom, large laundry. The bed is very comfortable. The house is warm and there is a porch to sit on.
Located in the centre of Manitou Springs, in walking distance of many attractions and restaurants, it makes a very good base for exploring the area. A simple breakfast buffet is provided with plenty to eat.
This is one of my favorite hotels ever! The service, amenities, and meals provided were superb! My stay at Cliff House will always be a fond memory. Thank you!
