The room was nice and clean. Bed and pillows were fantastic.
The room we booked had another person in it. The staff was helpful and gave us another room. The room had the heat off and it took hours to warm up. This was a night in the teens. The room was filthy. I checked the mattress and it was stained but it was comfortable. There was noise all night in the room above us. We would have left but it was so cold out and we weren’t familiar with the area. Never again will I try to save money on a room. We won’t discuss the bugs or leaving without taking a shower

Red Roof Inn, Kingsport will very likely not even let you into the room that you have already booked and paid for, if my experience is any example. Once I got to the inn after flying all the way from Germany (an exhausting journey), I was told by the night manager that she refused to let me have the room that I had already booked and paid for. I wouldn't recommend this place to a sick dog. Booking.com should remove RRI from their client list.

Got a verification number and everything drove an hour and they said they didn't have any more one night rooms only weekly rooms..No warning.. no apologies...drove an hour back home.....2 hours drive + gas$$.
On top of that disappointment they took the money off my credit card..and had to fight to get it returned....SO BEWARE OF THIS FACILITY....

They gave me a smaller room because I had a dog even though it says the hotel is pet friendly and no one told me I couldn’t have the room I wanted. Then they lied to me and said the room I ordered wasn’t available.

Final price higher than quoted price. Overpriced.
Final price higher than quoted price. Overpriced. Mold in bathroom. No cold water. No water in soda machine although said had it. No breakfast although still advertising it (even with Covid could do something- just excuse for price)

I was so disappointed and disgusted whole night; didn't sleep at all due to dampness and smell. Asked to switch a room but the unfriendly staff came into the room, sprayed a horrible smell spray and told me that there was no another room. There was a plastic cup with white powder in the cup above a dresser, the staff took it; according to him that it was a detergent but how did he know? and a lighter was on the floor. I paid total 110$. It is not even worth it to use the bath room- horrible smelly one.
I can't think of anything that could have been better with my stay. Comfort, quiet and cleanliness are the three big C's (one of which is admittedly a Q) for me in hotel stays, and this place had 'em all. The nice young lady with the charming and authentic local accent at the front desk was the icing on the cake.
The hotel room was excellent - roomy and very comfortable - the bed was great and I slept like a log very night. The location was also excellent - a short drive from the airport and very close to the interstate. Despite the fact it WAS close to the intestate it was very quiet and you didn't hear the traffic.
Did not have breakfast there. What I liked was the choices of coffee, when Starbucks located at the Hotel closed at 11, the other place in the lobby remained open to the public. Lunch buffet was reasonable and enjoyed change of menu each day.
