Camp Swann, hotel in Kimball

Camp Swann features accommodations in Tracy City. This recently renovated campground features a building dating back to 1946, which is 30 miles from the Great Stage Park.

We LOVED the custom design of the cabin! It was so beautifully thought out, from the hand done wall paintings to the colorful appliances, patterned throw pillows and unique mugs. It's in the country but was easy to find and get to, and the checking in prices was easy. It's a great use of an old summer camp,

    The hotel was freshly remodeled.

The hotel was freshly remodeled. The king bed was very comfortable and the room was clean. We had enough washcloths, towels and soap. We were allowed to keep our ESA dog with us which was a huge plus. The staff were all very friendly and courteous. The free breakfast was adequate. The hotel is situated right next to a main road and surprisingly we did not notice the sound of traffic. We were allowed to keep our ESA dog with us which was a plus. The only downside was the very low toilet. I would suggest that chair height toilets would make a stay even more enjoyable :)

Best Western Kimball is a recently renewed property.

Best Western Kimball is a recently renewed property. The Breakfast is correct and the crew is very attentive. We can walk to close restaurants and commerce in general. Mexican El Toril has a discount to the Best Western guests. And Kimball is a nice city in the Tennessee mountains. I recommend it.

Motel should be closed until all repairs and remodeling is...

Motel should be closed until all repairs and remodeling is completed. Bad, Bad stay. Filthy Room, bugs flying around, surfaces needed cleaning, window was really dirty. The bathroom wasn't clean and the cover was off the vent - filthy! Only 2 threadbare towels and two washcloths. No hand towels. WIFI was bad too. Couldn't connect with our phone at all. There was a phone in the room, but it had no wires or even an outlet to be connected to - SO - if you needed the front desk, you had to walk down to it.

I think this location was very nice, clean and comfy beds and tv was easy to work and had good stations. Breakfast area was nice. Kimball is just a stop off of 24, but if you are staying here it is worth to go to the Top of the Rock restaurant which is just a few miles from hotel. Great view and good food. Watch sunset from here just walk across the bridge up by the restaurant best viewing spot.

The breakfast was awesome we did not eat until about thirty minutes before the breakfast bar was to close. Unfortunately there was no orange juice. The quantity of all other foods were very adequate. The person in charge for the breakfast was great. I went up to her and complimented her on the scrambled eggs. These eggs were fresh and not dry like you generally find. She was a great host unfortunately for the hotel she only works on the weekends. Her personality and the pride she had for providing to the customers really made my visit.

I didnt like anything. They tried to tell me I booked a smoking room when I know I didn't. Then he told me that I booked a deluxe room which to them means smoking. However a deluxe room is cheaper than a standard which makes no sense. He told me I could change to a non-smoking but it was only 1 bed and wanted to charge me more!

I find Super 8's to be slightly higher in overall quality than most of the rest of the inexpensive motels like Motel 6, Econo Lodge, America's Best Value, etc. This Super 8 was right up there with the room being clean, well appointed and all room items in good working condition.

The folks at Kimball went the extra mile for me. I left my planner behind and they kindly forwarded it to my home address. That planner is my lifeline. I am so grateful they recovered it and agreed to send it to me.
