What we liked was the play we went to, which is the reason we drove down - our daughter was in it. The Bag and Baggage company is very talented and professional. The best place to eat is Amelias - really good menu, but the other restaurants on main street are mostly just burgers. We didn't have time to check out the bakeries for coffee and pastries, so we didn't find a good breakfast place. There was a nice festival going on. The best thing about it was the fresh produce.
We don't have young children. We are retired adults.
I don't recommend Hillsborough as a vacation.
It's a very nice property and we were very comfortable. They have a nice hot breakfast everyday, and evening snacks and drinks Monday - Wednesday. The pool was small but clean and comfortable. We also liked the access to the free washers and dryers. The suites were roomy and comfortable, including the sofa bed. The grocery store and cafes were a short half mile from the hotel. The service and staff were excellent. Everyone was very friendly and helpful.
Rooms felt luxurious, wonderful full breakfast with eggs, and breakfast meats and yogurt bar plus usual hotel waffles maker , cearel etc. Coffee 24hrs a day in lobby. Location was close to our Daughter's apartment so it worked for us. No restuarants or shopping within walking distance but not far away by driving. Lobby and breakfast area large and very nice and also tables and chairs on outside deck for breakfast dinning or hanging out too!
The pool was a bit crowded that particular Saturday, but my teenagers still spent a little bit of time in the hottub, then they decided to take advantage of the gym. My teenagers enjoyed the gym a lot. The young lady at the front desk was accomadating l and offered to sign me up for Holiday Inn member perks, which I appreciated. Overall the hotel appearance is nice, inside and out. The rooms and beds were spacious and comfortable.
We loved absolutely everything about this Hotel. We were one of the first guests that stayed here and the staff was amazing. They had just opened the sake bar and we were one of the first customers. The Japanese vibe of this place was absolutely amazing. We will likely stay here every time we are in the area. The owners were onsite and were amazing!
The hotel was quiet, with refrigerator and microwave. Very clean. Bed was softer than I like, most would have found it very comfortable. They were available last minute, when I was stranded due to a snowstorm. There is a coffee shop across the street, and several restaurants and groceries very nearby.
The coupons for the local bakery were a very welcome addition, as was the bottle of wine in the room when I checked in. I love the Orenco. I've stayed there many times. I find it to be comfortable, safe, and quiet in a very nice part of Hillsboro.
This was a great hotel. Comfy bed, Clean room, Tv, mini fridge, pool that was warm, gym, and continental breakfast! Also it was in a nice location of hillsboro, quiet, and no homeless people or car traffic. Very nice!
I’ve been thinking of something that I liked about booking this hotel and the only thing I can come up with is “perspective building opportunity”.
It’s places like this that make you appreciate staying elsewhere.
Staff was nice. Room overall was nice. Hotel seemed clean. There was a pool and a big workout room which seemed neat but we didn’t use. Lots of parking and close to lots of food. Location seem like a good spot.
The worst stay in this hotel
Bathroom were with poop in the toilet they send us to another room it was dirty as well we waited for 3hrs so they can transfer us to another hotel the worst experience ever!@!!!
Loved how accommodating staff was. The room size is so much better than your average hotel room. Love the kitchen area, will be looking to stay at Home2Suites anytime we travel now.
The location is great, and the hotel is well-manicured and clean. The front-desk staff is friendly and helpful. we’ve stayed at this hotel twice, and both times we really enjoyed it.
The 2 receptionist ladies were very kind and helpful. Room were clean but the price was a bit too high. What made a difference between this hotel and others was the hot breakfast.
The size of the room was perfect all in all a very good business hotel with very good service and surrounding. Maybe not an ideal place for classic tourist.
