We had the most amazing 2 night stay at the Seacrest Inn! The staff was so welcoming and made us feel right at home. They were even kind enough to allow us to store our bags after check-out while we waited for our afternoon ferry back to Dana Point. Already planning our next trip back and we will definitely be staying here again!

I loved the calm relaxing vibe. It felt like a quaint sea side village from the past. Everything was very clean and the walking on the beach frontage or the walk to the casino were very pleasant for us seniors. I also saw young families with small children which appeared to be ideal for that phase of family life because the beach is so close. I hadn't been to Avalon for over 20 years and was extremely happy with the way it has evolved and the pleasant atmosphere. Enjoyed it very much, but if I come back with my young adult grand daughters, they would probably want to do more of the activities which are available.

Our observation of Avilon is that is evolving.
Our observation of Avilon is that is evolving. There are more small cars. The businesses seem to be sustainable and pretty much thriving, and all is a positive experience.
Catalina is a mere 27-30 miles from where we live in So CA, but it could be HI, South of France or Southern Italy.
I think, just go there with the intent of slowing down and enjoying slower time and removing yourself from the balance of hectic life elsewhere. It is a good place to relax.

We visited at start of January (still school holidays) and found reduced restaurant and shop options. Restaurants tended to close early.
Easy 1hour comfortable ferry crossing to island with Catalina Express from Long Beach. Saw dolphins en route.
Just few minutes walk to main town, shops, restaurants and many hotels from ferry terminal.
Plenty of walks, but hilly. Fabulous views & plants/wildlife. Mostly golf carts or bikes and limited cars/local mini bus to get around.
Easy access to public restrooms around Avalon.
Would visit spring onwards for future visit.

Avalon can be magical to visit for a couple of days. Lots of activities, food options, and shopping. It's charming and beautiful. The M restaurant is one of my favorites, with good breakfast and lunch options. At dinner, it's a good Italian restaurant.

I loved being just a few yards from the water, restaurants and shopping. The whole area - in spite of the cloudy weather - is simply beautiful and picturesque. We enjoyed both walking and biking through the hills nearby. Avalon is my new "go to" spot for relaxing!!
Location is great! No breakfast but the coffee was good. The staff is amazing. Your hotel would be fantastic if you would clean your floors and didn’t have electrical cords all over the place. Your advertising said you remodeled. Not where we were. So adorable of a hotel. We understand small but this was filthy. I’m so short I can’t reach the fridge. What if there was a “Little Person” who was unaware like myself that couldn’t reach the fridge so high.
Amber is the best! I have never been treated so well in a hotel. Thank you very much for her kindness and for her good service. I plan to return to this hotel very soon. excellent service, comfortable, clean place with excellent service, cozy place, close to everything. if you are planning to go to the island you definitely need to stay in this place. Amber if you read this thank you very much! you made our experience a pleasure.
The staff was great, everyone from the person at check-in to the housekeepers, the drivers who took us to the hotel and dropped off our bags, who handled the breakfast area—everyone was very helpful. I can only recall the names of Carlos, José and Daniel, but the latter's wife and her sister were also stellar and went above and beyond in their service.
Staff is amazing. Location is second to none. Room was clean, comfortable and quiet. This is an amazing hotel with everything at your fingertips and walking distance. Continental breakfast needs to be upgraded a tad bit, but that is not a show stopper. We will be staying here again. 1st class facility, 1st class staff, 100% satisfaction!!!!
Super adorable property, friendly staff, a beautiful courtyard garden with a fireplace that we walked out to straight from our room. Our room was very spacious and comfortable with a huge bathroom. The location couldn’t have been better.
We will definitely be staying here again on our next trip to Catalina Island
When we book this hotel, it said it has it's own restaurant and bar, when we arrive, the staff said it was both closed. And the swimming pool was not heat up for the guest use, no body using the pool, and they covered the whirlpool as a sitting area.
Great Hotel. At the end of Main Avalon street. Still walkable to Ferry dock. The room was decent size. Great shower, best water pressure I have had in any hotel ever. the Spa on site was great. I would definitely stay here again.
We ended up getting stuck on island due to no boats going in or out. Hotel was quick to accommodate my husband and I and offer stranded rates without question! We love the rooftop deck too! We will return to this cute little place!
Room was comfortable and clean. Space was maximized for efficiency and colors were very pleasing. Location is excellent in relationship to restaurants, bars, shopping, excursions, activities and the ferry- Catalina Island Express.
Love this hotel, it's right on the sea front. Facilities are good. Cheese and wine at 4.30pm included in price, also coffee tea and pastrys at breakfast time. Would definitely use this hotel again if I'm ever visiting Catalina.
Location was great! Room was great! Bed was comfy! They also sent our bags to Express boat landing, which we are so thankful for! We will book our next visit to Catalina with Bellanca Hotel! Staff were all wonderful!
Location and price were key factors when booking. Because this was our first trip to Catalina Island, we weren’t sure what to expect. Casa Marquita was charming and fit our needs.
Excellent location in the middle of Avalon, overlooking the cutest little market place area. Lovely decor, comfortable and the jacuzzi on the roof was an added bonus!
We had an amazing time on Catalina Island. My wife and I celebrated our 25th anniversary with the family.Hotel staff was great. Rooms very fancy and comfortable.
The hotel is in a great location, just a couple of streets from all of Avalon and the coast. The rooms were bigger than expected and we had a comfortable stay.
