Wonderful part of NM but you have to watch the neighborhoods...
Wonderful part of NM but you have to watch the neighborhoods you go to in the city itself. It is a wonderful home base for traveling around northern NM as it is less expensive than Santa Fe. Great restaurants like El Patron and Flying Star and don't miss Old Town or the BioPark. Its nice East/West street orientation makes is easy to get around and both 40 and 25 are good roads.

Albuquerque is a large city with traffic congestion issues but not to hard to get around. A lot of great restaurants and attractions such as Old Town Plaza along with various museums and art galleries. Very attractive city and area.

Somehow from the Booking ad we thought it was going to be a quaint older place near center of older part of town. Across the street was a very new “food pavilion” with dozens of high end and gourmet take out choices. It was fun and vibrant. El Chaco had a nice pool and location. We were only in Albuquerque one night after touring other parts of the beautiful state but if we ever go again, we’d definitely stay at this hotel for longer. Quick access to airport too!
