Room was huge! Clean and comfortable. More like a motel, with each room opening onto and outside corridor. Staff were friendly, and randomly gave me a banana when I got back one evening. Access to hot water for drinks in the reception area.

Centrally located in Trang and just about 200 metres from Trang Railway Station, Maison de Cheer offers bright rooms with air conditioning and city views.

Maison De Cheer We stayed here from the 9/03/24 through to the 11/03/24. A two night stay as we travelled back from Pak Meng Beach & then were travelling onto Patong on the 11/03/24. Check in was smooth & efficient & only Credit card or the Thai QR code system was accepted as payment. I used credit card as I don’t have access to the Thai QR code system. Our room was ready & we were able to check in at 12.30PM. Our room was 421 facing the rear of the property & I would suggest that if you have the opportunity, You should book a rear room as the road past the hotel is quite busy. In reception area there is tea/coffee facilities for free & ample seating if you must wait for anyone. There are toilets there as well. The breakfast area is behind a glass partition & hours for breakfast are 7-10am. Breakfast is a set menu & is 75THB=$AUD3.18. elevator in operation at the hotel & there is 5 floors. Concierge brought our bags to the room, set up the A/C & made sure everything was good. As we have found with most SE Asian beds, they were a little hard, so I went back down to the reception & requested pillow toppers for the beds & that was no problem for them to do so. A/C kept the room cool as the temperature whist in Trung was 38,39 Deg C for the two days. Our room configuration was two single beds, but they were quite spacious. Fridge kept the drinks cold & there were multiple power points available to charge devices. Bathroom area was quite good & the shower as reported before in my reviews was a wall heater for the hot water & it also had a separate cold-water shower. Amenities (shampoo, toilet paper, hand wash supplied & room serviced daily.  There is a courtyard on the 4th floor that is a great place to just sit & relax as well. Location is a key point with Maison as it is just across the railway lines from the Train station.

Delightful views from the Explorer Tent Room was a good size with balcony Staff were amazing throughout, 5* - probably the best customer service I have experienced in 30+ countries. Staff go above and beyond! Table with great views reserved for us automatically each evening! Afternoon tea delivered to the room Free bottle of wine each night was unexpected Nice wildlife, lizards, cats and kitten, sheep, horse Breakfast and towels provided when we went on a trip for a day with another company Staff took us to the nearby waterfall and provided towels and water! Half board is 500 baht credit (per tent) towards dinner. Good qulity toiletries Minibar with free soft drinks and lots of bottled water provided. Overall, i recommend this resort if you are in Trang.

The location of Namthip Residence is central, and the restaurants can be reached easily by car (between 4 and 5 minutes). Opposite the residence, there is a Dim Sum restaurant located. The receptionists speak English and are very friendly and helpful. They give good tips on where to go to recommended restaurants, night markets, and tours. The room and bathroom are clean, and the roommates are very friendly.

    Trang is a great place to get a taste for a real Thai city, especially before or after a stay out at the islands. After our trip out to the Koh Mook and Koh Libong, a stay in Trang provided a different, but equally interesting experience of city life in Trang. Beautiful landscapes surrounding city and the food scene is crazy and amazing (as with much of Thailand)! We had just one night here and a little under a day, which was a perfect amount of time for us to rent a scooter and explore a couple of cool sites in the area (Khao Chang Hai Cave, Weaving Center), visit the night markets, and experience the famous Trang dim sum breakfast. My husband and I definitely thought Trang City was worth a visit!

    City with a lot of delicious food, a lot of charm landmarks. Beaches are not as beautiful as Krabi, Phang Nga or Phuket. However, its islands is quite remarkable. Moreover,you can travel to Trang by train or air from Bangkok. If you are looking for cultural tourism, you will like Trang.

    Trang is quiet and natural province. Visit Trang Church for antique holy church. Excellent food taste there is the legend, and island is superb. Grill Pork (Moo Yang) is different taste but in a great Chinese-herb great style. 'Hongchai' is good for the original grilled pork-chicken-lever rice and 'Trang Old town' is good for black coffee and old pictures. Recommend you to wake up at 6am and find the city fresh market downtown to buy 'Ko Paow' grilled pork for sweet-less and oil-less pork in case you want to taste a nice healthy food. Tae-tieam (Chinese breakfast style) in Trang is one of the most famous meal, please try it at Jae Nok restaurant or just ask local to find a good one. Please spend 3-4 days hanging around koh Kradarn (Kradarn Island), it is quiet and private place (don't forget your sun block). It is also good for trekking and canoeing with a crystal clear ocean. Takes some food and water with you in case to kill some expensive food there. Be prepare with some anti-mosquito spray.

    What I like the most:

    What I like the most: 1) cooperation among people in the city : we went for "Trang Maraton 2019" event, everywhere we go, people kept asking "do you come for running?" and they gave discounts for hotels, restaurants..etc. Also, they have student shows along the running path :D 2) A lot of beautiful beaches to travel 3) A lot of suggested food and drinks, tea was very nice! 4) very nice people! What I dislike : Hard to find public transportation! the best way is to rent a car

    If you are on a budget, want to live like local and enjoy the best of Thailand, this place is for you. The place is owned by a really nice family and it's situated near the best wild beach of Koh Muk, where they have nice beach bar. The food was so good, it topped some really expensive restaurants we've visited in Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand, and the familly really takes care of their guests. Don't expect much, and it will exceed your expectations by miles. Wished we stayed few days longer. Thank you for having us!

    It was a wonderful stay with my family in Trang. A good base to get to know the city. The owner is involved and helpful. A very kind woman. Everything shows that this accommodation has been set up and runs with love. A place with a soul. The traditional but also modern furnishings felt homely to us. It is clear that a lot of attention is paid to the household. It smells clean and it is incredibly clean. All this means that if we ever come to Trang again, we will definitely stay here again.

    Location is excellent, very close to the train station. Lots of markets and eateries near by. Room was very large and had a fridge and lots of surface space. Downstairs there was indoor and outdoor seating and the hotel sells cold drinks and snacks at a very good price. Staff are very friendly and helpful and WiFi is good. Free bicycles are available which we used to go to nearby sights. Good value, would stay again.

    Amazing Value, this Hotel is right beside the Train Station (but no noise). Good position for restaurants and exploring. Has a Travel Agent just over the road where you can book excursions. Restaurant service is excellent and great food. Room is comfortable and clean. Hot shower and cold a/c. Bed is firm but we slept well. Friendly reception staff. Has no lift, but was ok for us. Easy stairs. Would recommend

    Location was great, walking distance from train station. We booked this specific hotel because bike rental was an option. Bikes were arranged for us for a 15 mile out-and-back ride to the rice paddies & cave. Not much ambiance in the hotel, basic accomodation and no group hang out spots, but we weren't looking for that! The room was spacious and it was fun to be up high and see Trang from the 7th floor!

    Big room with 4 balconies giving a nice view of the city. Nice bed with many nice pillows. The breakfast was good with many options. A lot of staff just to give you what you want. We didn't have time to use the pool, but it looks sooo nice!!! We had problems with the aircondition one night, but when we informed the hotel they fixed it right away. The staff is really nice and helpful.

    The hotel is set back from the main street and surrounded by plants so it's very quiet and pleasant even though you're in the middle of downtown Trang. Very clean and the owner pays attention to every detail to make your stay comfortable. Anne's hospitality is impeccable. She will also help handle your transfers making life so much easier.

    We were staying at the hotel for the second time. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay once again. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We ate at the restaurant on our second night, and it was fantastic. My steak was cooked to perfection, tender and the vegetables were perfect. The pasta was delicious and cooked just right.

    Appartement is very well located in the Trang city centre! Everything was within walking distance. There is also a great traditional dimsum restaurant and coffee place around the corner. Staff was very helpful and helped us a great deal with the boat schedule, organising ferry & airport pickups.
