If your disabled in a wheelchair i would think twice Koh samui like most places in Thailand lack full use of pavements, it's safer to walk on the road. Most Thai people are great and the young teens will respect you as you respect them. Chaweng is a quiet, clean family beach. But if someone is looking for some water sports the facilities may be limited. There are a number of massage parlours in the area. So after a good time in the beach one can relax and rejuvenate for the next day. There are a variety of restaurants offering different cuisines. Cheweng is extremely busy, very loud, traffic non stop, walking difficult as pavements very small and uneven and the road too busy to walk on. Prices for food and drink expensive for Thailand. There is however plenty of choice for eating and drinking and for people who want a full on party experience type holiday they certainly won't be disappointed! Beach was very nice however often it wasn't there due to high tides.

Chaweng is a bustling town with some fantastic restaurants offering the most fresh and beautifully presented Thai, and other nationality food you you could want. We stayed 14 nights and ate somewhere and something different each night - all cheaper than McDonalds!
