The very first word out my mouth upon arrival was “STUNNING! “ Wai Rua is 80 acre farm/estate of absolute idyllic beauty; neatly maintained grounds, with floral highlights present whichever direction one looks. The “cottage” is a misnomer; it is a spacious, fully equipped small house! Kitchen must have every possible modern appliance; the main room is well furnished and extremely comfortable; in the bedroom the king bed is irresistibly relaxing. The whole unit shows off custom installed wood paneling throughout. Then there is the deliciously heated (!) swimming pool with area to lounge before & after.Did I mention the sweet companionable house cat Poly? Hosts Elaine and Allen were warm and hospitable as if faraway family members from the first minute. This unit was of the older style and didn't get much sun but had excellent heating, had new or nearly new furniture and fittings and the kitchen had very modern appliances. There was a lot of unexpected touches such as colouring books and games for wet weather and a fully enclosed court yard.
