Cosy unit. I needed a bottle opener, which was happily supplied. Staff were just lovely. Comfy bed and excellent shower. Booked dinner for 9 as we had family join us on our last night. Fantastic meal and service.

We loved our room it was cozy and inviting, ideal for our family and there was just so much space! The rooms gave us options to which beds we would sleep on, the location was ideal for us to eat out, and the pool was nice for my girls..

Perfect location, staff were amazing. Was greeted with a smile and a warm welcome. The staff also gave me a traditional Filipino snack that she had just made. Love my experience and will definitely stay again.

A cute little tiny home, very private and very compact. OK for an overnight stay but would be very confining for longer as no storage room for anything.

Pretty much the last most populated city in Northland if youre heading further north to Cape Reinga. Kaitaia is a great little city. Hub of traditional Maori culture & people. good place. Near Ahipara & Shipwreck bay, one of the best off the beaten path surf spots in all of NZ

Peek a Boo Backyard Eatery is a cool upbeat urban feel, eco friendly place to eat. I sat there for 3 hours at a comfortable table indoors, doing work from my laptop, enjoying a pot of ginger, lemon and Manuka honey tea.
The guys at the Z petrol station on the main drag were exceptionally accomodating, when I placed a hot drinks order for 6 people, ahead of my afternoon meeting.
The mobil station has a brilliant self car wash with a high powere water gun.

Kaitaia is a great base for visiting the far north and places like Ahipara and the 90 Mile Beach. It is a laid back place that definitely is not touristy.
I was cooked the best breakfast I've ever had at Kā Uri in Awanui 6kms down the road.

It’s is worst place to live with your family specially if you are having kids with you. We felt itchy after sleeping on the Pathetic matter. I have attached the photos of my daughter. I personally would not recommend this property to no one at any cost.
Very accommodating and Very helpful...Even managed to picked us up from isite centre kaitaia to drive us to the accomodation because Taxis weren't available at the time when We arrived from Auckland. Really appreciate it! The best part was our Day tour with Dune Rider Tour which She recommended. My family had a great time from Cape Reinga Light House, Sand dunes and 90 mile beach with yummy BBQ lunch. Thanks Jenny😍
a quiet little rural getaway for singles or couples. cute little cabin, clean and private and the bonus is you can take your pet. Surrounded by some farmland a few cattle, but not enough to impact on our time at Breathe In.
Would make a nice solo retreat for someone looking to escape the noise, traffic and business of the city. About a 10 min drive to Kaitaia town centre.
Good sized studio room, with microwave, small fridge, and jug. Plenty of coffee, tea, milk, etc. Really comfortable bed with a good range of bedding. Older, concrete block style motel complex, but spotlessly clean and well maintained. Heat pump in each room. Restaurant on sight.
Among the cheap accommodations this was one of the best I found in my New Zeland trip. I recommend it to everybody.
Very clean and spacious room, and a lot of little additional surprise what is the proof that the owners love and take care of their clients
I was travelling with my young daughter, the room was perfect for our overnight stay in Kaitaia, it wasn’t just clean it was spotless, felt welcomed right from the start. I will use this motel again and again if I need to stay in Kaitaia.
The lady running the front desk was fun to have a chat with and graciously accommodated our late night arrival. There are few places to stay so far north, so it was a blessing to stay at a clean, well-equipped motel like this!
A great hidden gem in the heart of Kaitaia. Fantastic hosts that you made you feel as if you were at home. And the breakfast experience with all the guests was a highlight also
A must if you are looking for a great getaway
The little touches of Sarah's place was very welcoming, and the little touches made us feel very welcome and cozy! it was great way to spend our last day of holiday!
The manager - Loida! Loida was very friendly and helpful- she sorted out a couple of issues we had straight away-she made our stay at Kauri Lodge very comfortable
