The Harvest Hotel, hotel in Cromwell

Centrally located, en route to Queenstown or the rugged West Coast of the South Island, the Harvest Hotel offers spacious rooms with views of the surrounding countryside and mountains.

Had drinks and was supposed to be mid-afternoon snacks at the bar - the food servings were enormous so didn't have dinner :)

Everything. Our unit was warm and comfortable and had everything we needed to self-cater. Tony and Carrina couldn't have been more helpful following an issue with our vehicle, and with advice about the local area. Thank you. We would certainly recommend this accommodation.

Great location next to Highlands. the apartment was so roomy, beautifully decorated, and well equipped. The stairs were very shallow and easy to use. The lovely sunney courtyard was a great place for us to catch up with friends in the late afternoon.

Very secluded getaway location pretty much designed specifically for wine makers because there wineries for Africa there, but the town lacks in offering much else as a reason to go there unless you’re into tramping (the surrounding areas are tailor made for it) - very little tourist attractions offered in the township compared to nearby Wanaka which punches well above its weight.

Great for wine tasting, especially also at Bannockburn, Lowburn and Northburn. Particularly recommended a booking at Felton Road. Waterpark adds a new dimension. Walking and cycling. It can be windy and also grey in winter.

It had been 12 years since we last visited Cromwell.

It had been 12 years since we last visited Cromwell. Not surprisingly it had grown and changed significantly - and for the better. The town has a pleasant ambience about it and the people appear very relaxed. Everything one wants is there and there is a comprehensive range of retail and hospitality. We liked our trip so much that we shall be returning for a more thorough look around.

It is a friendly, well-kept town with fabulous scenery. Very close to Arrowtown and Queenstown without the traffic hassles (especially of Qtown). It has a reasonable number of shops, enough restaurants and pubs. we didn't have kids but there seemed to be plenty of places for them to run around and play. it felt safe and inviting.

Great accommodation that was not expensive but very homely and a central location to see and visit the rest of Central Otago. Dined at the Town and Country Club , Carrick Winery, barbequed at our unit.

Gaylene and her team work immensely hard to provide luxury accommodation at this motel. The room was spacious, spotless, comfortable, and well provisioned. Car parking was right outside the front door. Very helpful advice given on the old town (Cromwell was a mining town and has the well preserved buildings from the Gold Rush era) and local eateries. We were also given an early check in. Highly recommended

The property is near new and custom built to provide excellent B&B accomodation and service. It is situated on the lake front and is in very good condition. While it is only approx 6 kms out of Cromwell and close to everything, it is very quiet and peaceful. The quality of the breakfasts provided were absolutely legendary, and Fred and Sam are wonderful hosts.

The owners were friendly and helpful. The rooms are excellent. Being by a small sheltered arm of the lake was an added bonus for bird watching and paddle boarding. Kayaks were also available. A BBQ area was available. A spa and small pool were available. Bike and walking tracks were nearby. Close to Cromwell for many restaurant choices when not using the BBQ.

Even though it is a little way out from Cromwell it is situated on Lake Dunstan. The apartments overlook the lake. The apartments are spacious, clean, accessible and great for families. There is a restaurant on the premises and breakfast is available at the restaurant. We would recommend the property to anyone staying there.

Awesome breakfast. Lots of extras provided which we enjoyed. Easy communication with the hosts made our stay in the cottage very enjoyable. The service and facilities are first class, and you can walk to the Bannockburn Hotel and Mount Difficulty vineyards. I would highly recommend two nights here!

Warm, comfortable, spacious and well appointed. In walking distance to three very good restaurants. Te Kano Estate Cellar Door is a must visit. The Black Rabbit Restaurant (Next Door) was outstanding, as was the Bannockburn Hotel, and further afield, Armando's.

The location was amazing, at the foot of the gondola in central Queenstown. We parked the car and walked into town for the afternoon and an early dinner. The views to The Remarkables mountain range in the setting sun were a perfect end to the evening.

The hotel is sitting in the surroundings of mountains, and we saw the pink morning clouds. The parking is convenient. The room has a balcony overlooking the lagoon. It’s nice they offer warm breakfast with plenty of selections, though a bit pricey.
