The staff were really friendly and helpful. The location was good for town and for heading off for the Dunstan Trail bike ride. Good space for locking bikes outside our room. Room was clean and comfortable.

Very secluded getaway location pretty much designed specifically for wine makers because there wineries for Africa there, but the town lacks in offering much else as a reason to go there unless you’re into tramping (the surrounding areas are tailor made for it) - very little tourist attractions offered in the township compared to nearby Wanaka which punches well above its weight.Daniel - 10Scored 10

Great for wine tasting, especially also at Bannockburn, Lowburn and Northburn. Particularly recommended a booking at Felton Road. Waterpark adds a new dimension. Walking and cycling. It can be windy and also grey in winter.

It had been 12 years since we last visited Cromwell. Not surprisingly it had grown and changed significantly - and for the better. The town has a pleasant ambience about it and the people appear very relaxed. Everything one wants is there and there is a comprehensive range of retail and hospitality. Loved Cromwell. So central to everything. We enjoyed wandering around the old town. We were treated so nicely by the people at Five Stags. Always greeted us with a friendly smile and really enjoyed the food.

It is a friendly, well-kept town with fabulous scenery. Very close to Arrowtown and Queenstown without the traffic hassles (especially of Qtown). It has a reasonable number of shops, enough restaurants and pubs. we didn't have kids but there seemed to be plenty of places for them to run around and play. it felt safe and inviting.Louise - 10Scored 10

Great accommodation that was not expensive but very homely and a central location to see and visit the rest of Central Otago. Dined at the Town and Country Club , Carrick Winery, barbequed at our unit.

The room was spacious, spotless, comfortable, and well provisioned. Car parking was right outside the front door. Very helpful advice given on the old town (Cromwell was a mining town and has the well preserved buildings from the Gold Rush era) and local eateries. We were also given an early check in. Highly recommended
