Oudewater is a delightful town and was a surprise to us.
Oudewater is a delightful town and was a surprise to us. It is full of interest and history especially for a small place. Of note are the Hakenwaag, where you can find out if you a a witch! the Rope museum is also worth visiting as you can learn about the historical source of wealth in the town. It has some splendid buildings in a compact area. The town has a good range of cafes and restaurants all seemingly popular. It also has a pleasant variety of shops. Breakfast was adequate but choice was unimaginative. The restaurant is large, especially the light conservatory area. A limited dinner menu. The staff are friendly and helpful.
