The rooms are spacious and well equipped, the balconies are nice (for the ones with the view). The breakfast is pretty good, the ricotta was to die for. Once upon a time, this hotel was probably really nice with a great view.

We had a lovely room with typically large doors opening onto a well-sized patio with lounges overlooking the ocean. The room was clean and spacious. The bath and shower were a bit small but did not deter from our experience. The restaurant that was adjacent to the hotel was excellent. Sergio was a wonderful host.

Massa Lubrense is the perfect place to stay if you are visiting Sorrento. The bus ride is only 15 minutes to the city centre and the beaches. Massa Lubrense has such beautiful ocean views and a calm almost a village feeling that is worth booking!!

Super far away from any near town or city. Not much to do.
Super far away from any near town or city. Not much to do. Beaches are not nice here but there is a harbour where you can get an expensive boat trip to Capri. No buses around and taxi is ridiculously expensive... however a beautiful little village if you like peace and quiet and don't want to leave your accommodation at all for the trip. The nearest beach was Puolo beach (10 minute drive) which had dirty water, lots of boats and rentable chairs but no regular sandy beach space and quite far off if you don't take a taxi all the way there.

Massa Lubrense is a beautiful village right out side...
Massa Lubrense is a beautiful village right out side Sorrento. The views are stunning and it feels very immersed into the community, rather than the touristy atmosphere in Sorrento. There are plenty of restaurants and little shops near by. Would recommend Scooters or a Rental car however, because the busses in this region are not as reliable, but no matter where you stay in Almafi, that would be the case.

Fantastic views, plenty of good restaurants, friendly...
Fantastic views, plenty of good restaurants, friendly locals, but we hadnt realised it was quite so hilly.. and getting used to the Italian style of driving takes a while.. particlularly on the narrow mountain/hill roads with their hairpin bends and steep climbs, enough without someone parked on your bumper trying to get past on a blind bend.. Sorrento was particularly hectic, even at 24:00, often without any clear right of way or give way signs...tbh a nightmare to drive through at that particlular time, look on youtube for driving video to Amalfi, Sorrento etc for proper preview of conditions
Beaches although nice, with clear water were mostly pebble, and if you go in the water, watch out for the (small) jellyfish.. I had only been in the water a few minutues, about to go swim and got a sting across my leg.. ok it wasnt a Portugese Man o War but it wasnt expected.. no real pain, just an unexpected and unwanted surprise.. All I can say is research well and make sure you are comfortable with driving conditions and pebble beaches.. also for the better beach areas you often have to pay!
We came for 6 nights and cut off before time.
The house has a beautiful view but other than that in terms of value for money I believe the place was over priced - Beds are uncomfortable, only one of the showers worked and the one that did has really a weak current of water.
The washing machine was very old and didn’t rinsed our clothes.
The town was cute but at lease 35 min to Sorrento, so maybe better to split our stay worth another place
Absolutely stunning, highly recommended. The restaurant, Michelin starred-food and service outstanding.
The hotel, super clean all members of the staff are really helpful. We spend only 2 nights here but we wish we actually stayed shorter in Positano and Ravello and instead booked here for longer. The beach is not overcrowded as in Amalfi coast.
I would highly recommend to everyone.
We stayed in some lovely places in Italy but this one topped the lot! Totally amazing! Such a wonderful place to stay.....spacious bedroom with beautiful furniture. A lounge with a piano, spinning wheel.....a garden with views over the sea. Wonderful breakfast with amazing cake etc., and the staff were incredibly helpful. Cant wait to come again!
It was just perfect, we couldn't ask for more. Rooms very nice and clean, location very perfect just off the hustle and bustle of Sorrento and breakfast was good as well, always fresh. Restaurant of the hotel is very good, we ate there all evenings as it was very good value and good quality food. The owner and staff are very friendly.
the staff at the property were so helpful and amazing. the property, whilst outside of Sorrento, is right next to a bus stop which is helpful. however I did find the buses a little irritating and are not timely and a cab is very expensive.
we booked this hotel knowing it was outside tho due to having a pool and gorgeous views.
One of the best villa we had stayed during our vacations. Great view and clean well equipped house. Pool and lawns was also great. It was still cold when we stayed in early april, so we couldn’t enjoy the outdoors and balconies. We purchased dinner one night. Great dinner and the chilled Tiramisu was once the best we have had!
We have been to Italy many times and always love our trips there. Michaelle was the perfect host and his property is possibly the best place we have ever stayed in Italy. The views are outstanding, the port provides nonstop entertainment, and the little village provides all the necessities. We highly recommend this place
Great base camp, close and quick to get around. Town of Sorrento and Amalfi Coast easy to access. Quiet in the evenings, beautiful view, WiFi worked without fail. Great restaurants close by, walkable. We had a car, so didn't need other transportation. Roberta and Daniel were the best. Will return and stay longer
Fantastic view and cozy resort. We had a wonderful stay. Enjoyed both the pool and the restaurant. The food was excellent. The view from the bar area is amazing. Very service minded staff. Small walk to a near by village where there are a few restaurants, a small grocery store and a coffee shop/bar/gelateria.
We loved everything especially the view and the pool. Our teenage kids loved having a smart TV to watch Netflix and Amazon Prime. The kitchen was stocked with essentials including a bottle of Prosecco in the fridge :) it was a lovely place to relax after touring so many cities in our first week in Italy.
I enjoyed the proximity to the city center and the fact that a driver was sent for me to get me at the Sorrento station. The owner helped me get from Florence to Massa Lubrense with detailed instructions and helped me along the way from purchasing the tickets to how to navigate which stations to go to.
The rooms are located in a family farm between the olive and lemon trees.
Hospitality was perfect. We also enjoyed the local dinner cooked by the Mama :)
It is close to Sorrento and Just few minutes walk from the local peer from which you can go on the boat line cruise to Amalfi, Positano, and so on.
This Villa sits in middle of a beautiful olive grove with breathtaking views of the Mediterranean see and the island of Capri.
They had the most delicious breakfast of our Italy trip- everything was fresh and the host was really nice and made us feel extra special!
Breakfast was so good! Lots to choose from, very fresh and they had eggs! Restaurant staff and cleaning staff were exceptional. Beautiful hotel, not far from Sorrento by bus. I’d recommend the boat tour to Capris from the hotel. It was truly amazing!!
Antonella was available anytime we needed something. She responded very quickly through What's App.
Location is perfect at the heart of a smaller town of Massa Lubrense, overlooking Capri, and only a short bus ride into Sorrento.
Quiet surroundings, welcome by staff, sunset view, a lot of outside space, vincinity to Sorrento & Massa Lubrense. It was absolutely perfect and amazing
