High quality apartment, beds great etc. Problem was getting there was a hassel of the off road time with very difficult roads. Too expensive given that. And it was a construction site, per the picture out of our window.

There was a lot of noise. We weren't on the main building and when people walked in the hallway you got a lot of noises. Also the fan in the toilet turned on every time you turned on the lights and it stayed on for 15 minutes after.

We stayed in Kirkjubaerjarklaustur and made day trips to the glacier and to black beach. If you have a car, it is a great place. The scenery is beautiful and it is a good location to explore the south eastern part of the island. It is a bit of a drive for groceries and I suggest you buy them in Reykjavik or at a larger town on the way to the south.TPRUnited States of America - 8.0Scored 8.0

Cute small town with a pretty waterfall at the top of the hill. A couple of restaurants and a small market were easily available. The hotel we stayed at was outside of the town itself but was an easy drive away. Great location, especially if you are in Iceland only for couple of days, this would be one of the best choices. From this location, you can make several amazing trips to the surrounding locations. The most interesting places offered by southern Iceland are reacheble from this area as a "base camp".
