Vizag has a great waterfront and a good range of restaurants for visitors. But it is not a tourist town as such. So many people do not speak English, and many others have only a few words of English. The Zoo is lovely and the seaside parks very pleasant. We took a day tour up to Araku from Vizag and that was well worthwhile.

Visakhapatnam is a clean & unpolluted city. Transportation is very convenient. People are friendly. Good food restaurants are every where. We liked submarine museum & Aircraft museum. We could not see caves as it required a day visit. It is a must. Keep around minimum 4days to enjoy this city.Abhineety

There are hotels in Western Europe you can stay at for the same price. Without the cockroaches, wiring that looks like it will explode at any second, or a bathroom best described as Slum chic. The hotel is technically near the train station and the beach but walk in Vishakapatnum is basically impossible due to the quality of the roads and sidewalks
