I had a very nice stay at Snow Lion. The room was comfortable and the bed was very cosy at night despite the cold temperatures outside! The staff was so friendly and helpful, even helping me find some local connections for my work. They also cook some delicious buffet meals!

Compared with most of the small mountain guest houses in Ladakh it gives you the feeling of comfort. The hotel has big, clean rooms with comfortable beds, nice new furniture and modern style bathroom with hot water shower. My room had a balcony with a beautiful view of the city and the mountains. I appreciated also the heater at night. One of the best thing, which is important for me, was the communication with the manager before my arrival. He replied very quickly to all my answers and helped me to arrange all the things needed for my trip.

Most visitors to Leh prefer to stay longer to tour the valleys nearby. We went during the off-season and the main reason was to get away from the Delhi chaos over a weekend. So Leh served its purpose for us. The main market area has good cafes, restaurants and shops. Shanti Stupa is also present in Leh. Good vibes nothing less. Leh has a large Indian Army presence so we felt very safe and secure :)

Scenic views all around with the most amazing people!
Scenic views all around with the most amazing people! Momos were my favourite local dish that you can find at most restaurants. Love that Leh is more pedestrian friendly and quiet compared to the rest of India. Perfect destination for relaxation.

Its always in the bucket list of most Indians.
Its always in the bucket list of most Indians. Has the highest motorable roads, its a paradise for adventure seekers, highest saltwater lake, cold desert, treacherous roads, borders mof two neighbouring countries. Its a must visit place.

I was expecting a little more of the city.
I was expecting a little more of the city. The market is nice, I had some fine food, but the streets and sidewalks are too disorganized, there are signs "don't walk alone in the dark because of the stray dogs" (?!?!?), it's pretty smoggy and conservation in general is lacking. Came by bicycle through the Manali-Leh road, which was amazing, but the city itself wasn't a highlight of the trip.

Amazing place.
Amazing place. Beautiful city, the cleanest place in India I've ever seen . The old city definitely worth visiting and walking around. Good tibetian food is everywhere and also nice souvenirs, like essence and stones.
Felt like that's one of the best places in India to be if you're looking for a pure energy, clean space and peaceful environment.

Leh. What a beauty.
Leh. What a beauty.
The Road after Manali is good till Jispa and then till Sarchu is also good. Post Sarchu the administration forgot to build roads till Pang. It is sheer hell for 4to5 hours of driving time (Sarchu to Pang).
Khardung-la pass weather in first week of June was not good. The Police check-post at South Pull, had a rude Policeman and they didn't allow our 4x4 Fortuner to cross-over and go to Nubra/Hunder. We missed out on these places and lost money on hotel booking (4 rooms). We were so disturbed due to this setback that we spent 10,000 to buy anti-skid chains for our car, and for another car (8K). All went to waste.
Beauties on this trip - Jispa, next to a river bed. Walkable from Hotel. Amazing. Mighty passes - Chang-la, Taglang-la, Baralacha-la, Zoji-la (we came back via Srinagar), Nakee-la and many more.
We changed plan to return via Srinagar on hearing news of avalanche on Leh-Manali road. This costed us 1 more day. But it was seamless journey. Srinagar finding hotel on spot was big challenge. Big Big challenge. Suggest to book online 1 day in advance if planning to come via Srinagar.
More plains were good. Pangong was a beauty (very cold one though). Coldest place on the Trip was Pangong. We used Warmers (top & bottom) in June at Pangong plus 2-3 more layers. Still after coming from toilet took 20 mins to warm up again at night.
We loved the Marmouths (biggest squirrel just like a teddy bear) on way to Pangong.
We loved the ShantiStupa. The cafe there serves sea buckthorn juice, apricot juice, thukpa. Loved them all.
Stayed in hotels - Chospa, Silk Route. Both were good. Chospa is ultra-premium, Silk route is budget friendly luxury. At Pangong stayed at Pangong Delight Cottages.
I recently stayed at Lynx Ladakh, and I must say it was an incredible experience. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted at warm smile and a welcome atmosphere. The staff went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable.
Its very near to Leh airport around 1.5km, you can go by walk also,
The location is breathtaking, surrounded by stunning mountain views, manager told us it a stok kangri mountain view, the rooms were super clean and cozy, providing a perfect place to relax after a day of exploring the beauty of Leh and WiFi is super good.
Del and his family made us at home. We had a superb experience on our stay with them. The rooms were priced economically. The amenities (rooms, bathroom...) were excellent. The breakfast was exceptional. Whenever we were tired in the evenings and asked them to prepare food, they presented us with homecooked food which was tasty and the portions were huge.
They went out of their way to make us comfortable
Will definitely be staying here again when I revisit Leh
Loved the place.
The location is amazing, super convenient. The surroundings are beautiful. It felt like home. Since the moment I stepped in, Jimi was really helpful and welcoming. The food that Baskit makes is mouthwatering 😋 didn't miss home food at all.
Every minute I spent in the room was so worth it. Thank you Puma House for making my first Ladakh trip so great! Can't wait to be back!!
My experience in lhazes hotel was amazing! The staff and the owners there were very friendly and helpful. Although i was living in a hotel, it genuinely felt like home. The food was delicious. They guided us to where we can go to view the actual beauty of ladakh. They tried their best in making our stay comfortable and as they did so, my vacations there was very memorable thanks to them.
Lhachik Guest House is a homestay in Leh, run by a local family. It's in a good, quiet location, it has a great viewing terrace up top, the rooms are big and clean, but above all it really gives a great insight into life in Leh for a Ladakhi family.
The owners couldn't be nicer, they're ready to help no matter what and, above all, they prepare some AMAZING FOOD for next to nothing.
Dolma, Tashi, Dolker, Angmo and everyone in the family are so wonderful! It's a blessing to get to know Dolma's amazing family. I felt completely at home, warm, comfortable and well taken care of during my few days there. I am grateful for this opportunity to stay with an extremely kind and friendly Ladakhi family and experience first-hand authentic local culture. Thank you so much.
I had a really amazing stay here, I spent two nights at the start of my trip to Ladakh and one more night before flying out. The whole family showed absolutely amazing hospitality, and the home cooked meals were amazing - definitely have dinner there! The view from the terrace in the morning is also glorious and peaceful. Highly recommend this place
Zostel has a vibe.
Loved the location. The views from top are awesome.
The host was more like a friend to us. I remember sitting n talking with our group with the host and he was telling us all about ladakh. The best stay.
Recommend.
Must stay if you are a solo traveller or with friends. You'll never regret it.
Yang was an amazingly kind and helpful host, who helped me a lot with my first tour of Ladakh. The guest house too was really cozy for a very reasonable price. The food was pretty good too, and so were the rest of the staff. The fact that you wake up to views of the Himalayas is the cherry on the top!
The hospitality of the staff was very good. They gave us personal attention and saw to our needs. Ms. Anu and the owner Mr. Arnab gave us a briefing about the acclimatization to the altitude which helped us a lot. They also helped us plan our Ladakh stay and to acquire oxygen cylinders for our travel.
Location - walking distance from the Leh market
Staff - polite and helpful people all around, they even prepared us a delicious traditional Ladakhi dinner prepared by the family that owns the property
Room - comfortable and clean room with a spacious bathroom in this price range
The place is full of good vibes, feels like home. Away from the hustle bustle of the main market, yet approachable distance.
Super fast WiFi.
Great home cooked food served beautifully in traditional ladakhi cutlery.
Amazing hospitality which is prevalent anywhere you go in Ladakh.
After a 6-day motorbike tour through the Ladakhi countryside it was nice to be in a proper 5-star hotel. Rooms are spacious, clean with a comfortable bed. Showers with hot running water. Well situation and only a few minutes away from Leh's main market street.
Jimmy is a great guy. You will not find many hosts like him. Firstly, the place is a gem, has a beautiful garden outside to sit and relax. Secondly, rooms are nice and cozy, and the dinner is amazing, the best food we had in Leh. Do not miss out on dinner 😃.
Hospitality of Mr. Sonam is top notch.. and the breakfast prepared from the vegetables of garden is fresh as 💎 gem. Stay offers guests feel of the traditional ladakhi village and one option for night stay
who are enrotue tso mo ro ri lake
Walking distance to Leh Market. The owner and his family is very helpful in guiding me with some tips and recommended the best travel agent with reasonable price. Thank you so much for making my trip to Ladakh so memorable, Rigzin & Jigmet
The ambience of the homestay was fabulous, we got Ladakhi style warmed welcome when we reach. We also like the apples served and given tos us while leaving, the hospitality touched our hearts 💖
A renovated traditional Ladakhi house. Very different from a normal hotel. Arnab and Anu go out of their way to help the guests so that they can have the best experience at Ladakh.
