A quiet, relaxed and spacious guesthouse with plenty of off road parking, perfect for attending a wedding in Trim.
Spotlessly clean and comfortable throughout. A fabulous, freshly cooked breakfast and catered for food intolerance.
We received a warm welcome from Rob who couldn't do enough for us during our stay. Thank you for a fabulous stay.

Deirdre was very accommodating with our dogs and gave wonderful recommendations for food locally. The lodges are fantastic, we will definitely be back.

We liked everything. Mary, our host was very accommodating and exceeded any expectations we had. She made us a cuppa on arrival and on return from dinner. Her breakfast was excellent and as good as you can get. The bed was the best we have had in 3 weeks in Ireland. Her place was spotless. She does the industry proud and it should be a standard that all hosts should aspire to. If we could give more stars we would. Anyone who gives any less than five stars must be very hard to please.

This was without doubt, the most beautiful B&B I have ever stayed in. If you love Jane Austin books, this is the place for you.
HIGHFIELD HOUSE is a Heritage Period house, dating back to the 1700s. Everything inside was authentic, beautifully decorated, with superb & comfortable bedrooms.
It was spotlessly clean, with all the modern facilities of 2024, but still decorated in keeping with the style of the period house.
The bathroom was state of the art, with a superior shower etc.
The hostess, Geraldine, is an absolute LADY, again in keeping with her stunning house/home.
There are tea making facilities in the bedrooms. But please note, breakfast is no longer served in the morning.
However, being right beside Trim Castle, there are numerous excellent restaurants nearby.
I would HIGHLY rate this magnificent B&B, 10 out of 10! ❤️🇮🇪☘️🇮🇪💚
Trim has a great castle, used in the filming of Braveheart.
Trim has a great castle, used in the filming of Braveheart. The guided tour of the keep is quite good. There is a friendly family of donkeys in a pasture just down the road from the castle and you are allowed to feed them (a sign with foods that are allowed is in the pasture). Trim is a great base for exploring Bru na Boinne, Mellifont Abbey, the Hill of Tara and other areas of interest. I actually;lly would have stayed 3-4 nights instead of 2, but we had reservations in a different area.

Trim castle is awesome!
Trim castle is awesome! The tour provides historical, anecdotal and architectural context for the structure, and the grounds have detailed markers and schematics to help you understand what you're seeing. We needed more time to explore the grounds, the ruined Abbey, and surrounding areas. Dinner at the Stock House restaurant provided a good steak and interesting decor to explore. Definitely a stop for a day or two on our next trip to Ireland.

We only stayed in Trim one night.
We only stayed in Trim one night. We went to the castle which is in pretty good shape. Entry is free but you can pay for a guided tour of the Keep which you should do.
We ate dinner at the Trim Castle Hotel in the Bailey Brasserie. It is a little expensive but we thought the meal was very good. The host was friendly and helpful. The only issue we had was that our waiter was very busy and not very attentive but this would not keep me from returning.

Came to the hotel for a wedding.
Came to the hotel for a wedding. Lovely scenery of the castle from the rooftop and some rooms. The food was delicious and the portions were very generous. My room was nice and had everything I needed and the breakfast was very nice. I paid €190 for 1 night stay in a double room which I thought was too expensive for a Monday night but overall I enjoyed my stay.

Trim is a beautiful town, with plenty to interest both...
Trim is a beautiful town, with plenty to interest both adults and children. There are plenty of independent cafes and restaurants, making a lovely change from high streets with global chains.
Lovely walks along the river and around the Norman castle, the focal point of the town.
Lovely hotel situated across the road from Trim Castle and about 30 minutes by car from Dublin airport. Comfortable bed and an excellent breakfast. I use a CPAP machine and the closest plug I could use was by the desk (the two that power the bedside lamps use proprietary plugs that no known adapter will fit). I called reception and they brought me a couple of extension cords that did the job nicely. Safe, secure under-the-hotel parking. Even if it's winter, go to level 3 for the rooftop bar for photos....
It was a great value for the money that we paid. The location was just a few blocks from Trim Castle, the lobby and staff were welcoming. The room was a bit outdated, but we didn't mind. It was clean...the price was right. We had to leave before breakfast was served but they provided coffee, cold cereal and some scones for us early. Dinner at the number # rated Indian Restaurant down the street was excellent! Tour at Trim Castle was really interesting, and def worth it!
Hard to imagine a better place to stay in Trim!
One of the joys of travel is meeting people from other parts of the world and you will not meet nicer people than Sandy, the owner and Stephanie, the caretaker. Sandy and her husband have beautifully restored this historic building and it was a pleasure to stay here. It will surely be one of the highlights of our visit to Ireland. Breakfast was fantastic too.
I would highly recommend The Trim Rectory!
The location is in Trim which is a nice town, with pleasant walks along the river Boyne.
We found our room to be very comfortable with a good ensuite.
The breakfasts are very good, cereals, yoghurt, croissants, toast, full Irish or in my case vegetarian, hot drinks and juice.
All in all we found our stay pleasant with welcoming hosts and I would definitely recommend Caravogue House to family or friends visiting Co. Meath.
Very friendly staff and nothing was a bother to them. Room spotless and very comfy pillows. Hotel overlooked Trim castle and the rooftop bar was a nice feature, although we just needed the sun to shine. Breakfast was first class and dining room spotless and we ate in the Bailey Bar restaurant which was also excellent. Beautiful hotel would definitely stay again.
This is a significant, professional golf hotel that doubles as a general visitor hotel. It is very nicely designed and decorated, and it has two large and attractive dining rooms, one formal and one sporty. We only saw the course but didn't play, yet it looked stunning. Food was very good. The spa looked great but was fully booked - need to book ahead of time!
This little place is so cute and cozy! The wallpaper and carpeting in the hallways scream, "You're in a small-town Irish Inn!" in the very best way. The location is just steps from Ireland's oldest bridge (very picturesque), and everything you'll want to see in Trim is within walking distance.
This was one of the prettiest B&Bs I have ever stayed at. Mary paid attention to all the details. Just a lovely, comfortable room, with dreamy details and an excellent breakfast. And thank you for the tip on getting to the airport! We will be back to see Trim Castle and more of Trim.
Mark behind the bar was a gentleman made myself and 2 brothers feel welcome and home straight away lovely pints of Guinness open fire going on a baltic evening the rooms were also lovely and warm rads on full beds comfy and clean will stay again next time visit Trim for a Wedding
Hotel courtyard house was lovely & warm, 5 adults stayed & all delighted with facilities, will be recommending a stay here to people.
Hotel staff very friendly & helpful.
We had a cousin reunion & sat night dinner in the golf club was excellent.
We loved this spot. After a long flight from Australia we wanted to get out of Dublin but not drive to far. The little village of Trim (5min away) was a perfect welcome to Ireland. This property was quiet, very comfortable and welcoming.
Our first trip to Ireland and wow it was fabulous. The staff made us feel so welcome from start to finish. The hotel had a great homely feel and the food was amazing. Trim itself is stunning and well worth a visit.
We shall return xxx
Pam and her family are excellent hosts. Very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are very comfortable with a view of rolling farmland. The breakfast is top quality. Trim is a wonderful location to visit on any stay in Ireland.
