We stayed here to be close to the airport because we had an early AM departure. It was an easy 15 min drive to DUB via back roads. The hotel was fabulous, the ocean views were spectacular and the room was very clean.

Fantastic location on a beautiful wide beach with wonderful walking possibilities eg 45 minutes to Malahide on coastal promenade, also great walks from Howth on headland in opposite direction, choice of 6k, 7k and 11k walks. Howth itself is a pretty fishing village with lots of fresh fish for sale and restaurants around the harbour area. Malahide Castle also a short drive with its lovely grounds and Avoca restaurant. Also a great value hotel with lots of quality and service for the money. Reception staff really helpful and breakfast super. Golf course is beautiful, quite expensive but deals available on the hotel’s website. I think the hotel would be more expensive if it had a pool and maybe tennis courts. But the beach on your doorstep makes up if the weather is good. Highly recommend, 9.5 out of 10

The location of the hotel is a significant benefit; The advantage of being so convenient to Malahide in one direction and Howth in another direction provides for additional options. The quality of meals was excellent despite the restrictions posed by the ongoing pandemic (Covid 19).

Portmarnock Hotel and Golf is one of the nicest hotels we have stayed in.This was our third stay and we will go again as soon as we can. Wonderful facilities, staff and surroundings. Highly recommend it to anyone
The hotel will store your luggage until you can check in. The room and bathroom were a decent size. There was a large closet and a dresser as well as a desk and a chair in the room. The bed, pillows, and linen were comfortable. The hotel is on the coast and I was given a room with the ocean view. The room faces the street, but was still pretty quiet. I didn't have a car, but the hotel seems to have an adequate parking lot. There is a restaurant on site.
The food at the Jameson Bar Restaurant was excellent. The staff at the restaurant were excellent. The room was perfect - we booked a family room and it was a very good size with an amazing view of the golf course. The proximity to walking on the beach was excellent. We enjoyed the beautiful views of the Wicklow mountains and the proximity to the Howth Cliff Walk. Malahide is a nice town to visit nearby.
This very comfortable Hotel on the Beach Road overlooks Portmarnock Beach and enjoys clear views of Lambay Island to the left and Howth Head to the right. Our Room was spacious, clean and very relaxing. We enjoyed Breakfast every morning and Evening Meal at night - food was very good and choice was excellent!
All Hotel Staff were pleasant, efficient and welcoming.
Location was lovely. Food was good and bar staff and waiting staff were excellent. We complained about unacceptable rooms and we were moved to another area of the hotel which was like stepping into another world. Decor better and room much better than the original offering. If we had not been offered this alternative accommodation we would have left .
We chose this hotel for its location-on the seaside, next to the golf course and within a few minutes of the airport. Room was comfortable and quiet with a view of the ocean, very restful. On site parking. Good food in the bar. Friendly and helpful staff.
Hotel was convenient location for travelling from Northern Ireland and easy access from Motorway. Staff were help full and courteous, ordered up a taxi from reception, advised us what Dart Station to travel from with best route to RDS
Lovely location and the hotel itself was very appealing and clean. Didn't get a chance to try out the golf course personally, but from the outside it looked like a great place to have a nice, challenging game of golf.
Lovely place to stay, modern clean hotel right beside beach.
Room was simple with very large comfortable bed.
Lovely outside area, feels like being abroad..
Smooth.early check in, helpful reception staff..
the views - simply amazing views of Dublin Bay. hotel is not so big but well designed and spotlessly clean. Bedrooms were big. Food was very nice and and the Guinness was exceptional.
Fabulous view from our room of the sea. Lovely large bed . Very comfortable seating areas both inside and outside the hotel . Staff beyond friendly and helpful fabulous breakfast
Location pretty nice and parking easy. If you want a hotel in this area where you can walk the long beach, this is it. Nice waitress, front desk great and professional.
