Breakfast choice was amazing. Plenty to choose from. Staff were so pleasant and always willing to help. Even had a little birthday card and yummy dessert for my little girl who was having her first birthday trip away with her sister and I. Honestly place was immaculate and so cosy. There were regular messages before arrival, via booking.com, with information and staff responded quickly to any questions. We stayed in a Shepherd's Hut and it was exactly like the pictures. The bed was a good size. Very clean. The views are spectacular. Although you might not see staff, there is a mobile phone number given to residents, in case of any issues. Kitchen is communal, great for people who like to mix with other people. There is a good size sink just outside the kitchen, with washing up liquid, cloths and tea towels provided. It is a working farm, we were able to see their pigs, on the way to a walk next to the nearby stream. The stream walk (Ramparts Walk) is very pretty, either walk along it, to get into town, or cross over the road for a longer walk. BE AWARE the shower room and toilets are communal. This is not an issue, there are doors. We hope to come back again next year.

We loved the quiet and the handy location for the many sites of the Boyne Valley, and only half an hour away from Dublin Port for the ferry back to the UK. Our hosts were very friendly and welcoming. The room was very comfortable and clean. The separate bathroom was not a problem, though, perhaps, a second (more male!) bathrobe could have been provided.

Chez Sé is located in a quiet estate off the Dublin Road on the south side of Drogheda.
