Perfect facilities for our family of 2 adults and 2 kids! Lots of toys for our 4 yr old and pool & darts to keep our 11 yr old entertained too! Beautiful setting and fabulous garden. Not far from shop and café etc even though we didn't need a huge amount for breakfast as cereal, juice, milk, bread, butter, jams and tea and coffee were all provided. The kiddos were delighted with the chocolate bars too! Huge value for money and we'll definitely be back again! I've already recommended Meadow House to friends!

Location is excellent and the bedroom was very comfortable. Particularly pleased to see a tube of hair conditioner as most hotels don't provide this. Also nice to have the few biscuits with the tea/coffee again not something most hotels provide.

We stopped for one night on our way back to Dublin from The Slieve Leagues Cliffs. Ballybofen was busy and nothing particularly to recommend it. For a future trip we would find somewhere else along the route to stay.

Not the most scenic place in Donegal but good base for touring and exploring other areas with forests, mountains, lakes and beaches etc. Three good quality hotels with a lot better value than at usual expensive seaside areas. A few good shops but not many good pubs ,guest houses, entertainment or restaurants etc. Nice woodland walks and good bus service to the other larger towns across the North west of Ireland. Nb. Plenty of easy free parking.

Ballybofey is gorgeous and whilst needing some upgrade, worth visiting the Mc Elhinneys for women and men who love fashion and good cafe in store for lunches and coffees. Very upbeat atmosphere. We became aware that Ukraine people are staying there. We got to meet Iryna and her son Andre. She was so grateful to Ireland for rescue from the war and said her husband not fighting but was back in Ukraine. She told us she was visiting a local national park and was so grateful.

I visited Glenveigh National Park the scenery was stunning. I had a bicycle and enjoyed the cycle in the park.
I visited the homeplace of St. Columbkill, his monastery and holy well.
I attended mass in the Cathedral in Letterkenny a wonderful experience for me, it's one of the most ornate and beautiful churches in Ireland well worth a visit.
The staff were extremely friendly and very well at giving information about the local area, dinner was fantastic both nights we went. We tried one of the other restaurants the whole hotel was extremely clean and well kept. So was the pool and spa area!. Would definitely return also the night door man was extremely friendly and chatty didn't catch his name unfortunately.oh also the beds are a trap not a big napper but the bed you would just lay down and the bed would knock you out in two seconds.
It’s beautiful place, close to town and feels like you are in your own home, owner is super friendly and always there to assist you.
I already sent the recommendation to all my friends and family what’s app groups, it’s going to be our permanent stop over fir future visit in Donegal or Letterkenny.
Basically about an hour away from almost any part of Donegal so it was a perfect base for our trip exploring Donegal. Miranda was very welcoming and pleasant. Room was clean and comfortable, good hot shower, free parking, and reasonably priced overall.
Afternoon tea was absolutely amazing, and the spa area and treatments received were honestly the best treatment I have had to date. Could not fault at all, staff were amazing and the hotel itself was so beautiful, will definitely return.
Great accommodation - huge comfortable bed in a lovely room with private entrance and well finished ensuite. The owners are absolutely lovely and extremely helpful - will definitely return if staying in the Ballybofey area in the future.
Brigid and John are amazing hosts. They would respond promptly to messages and gave clear instructions on how I could check in when my arrival was delayed. I would definitely recommend them and would stay again if ever in Ballybofey.
Great location as close to the town. Jackson's hotel right opposite so we were worried it would be noisy but no noise at all. Easy less than 5 minute walk to Villa Rose hotel which is where we were going for a wedding.
Very good location, most of Donegal's coast within 30-60 mins drive. Very peaceful and quiet. Really comfortable. We were able to put the kids to sleep in separate room!
