Had such a great time staying here. It is located right on the beach in front of the best place for spotting turtles. Just swim slightly to the left side, directly outside the beach cafe and in about 50-60m out you can see turtles. In terms of the room it was located a few steps from the sea so I could easily lock my things in the room and go snorkelling. The staff were friendly and accommodating. I asked for a mosquito net and they provided one. The bed was comfy. AC good and breakfast delicious.

Amed is a bit no frills in a way.
Amed is a bit no frills in a way. It's a beautiful spot for sure but the beauty is more in the relaxed feel of it and the lack of what makes some of the other places a bit plastic and un-Bali. It's a bit of a diver/backpacker scene and most of the places to eat are smaller-medium warungs, but there is plenty of variety. We are a couple in our 50s (non diving/snorkelling) and we just loved the relaxed calm of it all and the great food.
If you are a snorkeller or diver you'd be in your element here.
It was quiet when we were there ( April - Aussie school hols ) and is probably still quiet generally post covid.
It's cheap too. Maybe not Vietnam cheap for food etc, but your $$ goes a long way.
There's enough to keep you busy around the one beach but it's easy enough to get to other spots via grab. I reckon Jemeluk is the best spot though. It has a greater selection of warungs and little stores.
If you prefer the pristine golden sand experience, Amed may not be your best option but its charm goes very deep.

Beautiful snorkelling and diving.
Beautiful snorkelling and diving. Great small village with good family run Warungs, adequate shops and a decent road that’s quiet by Bali standards. Very friendly locals who arent too pushy like they are in the South.

Brilliant place to learn to dive (61 dive shops), highly recommended Ocean Dive League very experienced, very supportive 5 stars definitely. Can do awesome dives, 2 shipwrecks, coral garden etc.
If you love luxury over character I don’t think this is a place for you.
Easy to do day trips and get a personal taxi driver. Food was good. Lots of fish and eggs! People extremely kind, helpful, accommodating. Not really a place to go clothes shopping.
Definitely would go there again.
Only negative thing, so much rubbish everywhere, on the beach, in the water, on the streets. Saw a washed up dead pig on the beach!!

I would suggest 2 nights 3 days max if you are not a diver.
I would suggest 2 nights 3 days max if you are not a diver. The group I was with just snorkeled and 3 days was ample. The Snorkling was amazing and free the best I have done in Bali without paying a fortune . The trip to Amed was a tour within itself seeing the different demographics of Bali , long but worth it. I would rather look at the mountains and villages from a car and take in scenery than sit in terminal, boat for 3 hours till snorkeling tour starts.

Amed, great for diving, snorkelling and fishing .
Amed, great for diving, snorkelling and fishing . Calm ocean also good for swimming . Very chilled atmosphere plenty of beachfront accommodation bars and restaurants. Amazing sunrise and sunset on the beach. The the majestic Mt Agung as a backdrop.
The rooms are spacious, nice, clean and right next to the beach from where you can go out snorkeling.
The fishermen go out early in the morning and come back during the morning with their boats, which is noisy, the departure at 4 o’clock we never heard and never woke up because of that.
The food was very good.
To get there from Sanur we arranged a transport by Amed Bali Adventure, which we can highly recommend, a transport organized by the hotel is way too expensive.
absolutely stunning accommodation on the hill side. it is a little out of Amed but the location is still a 10 min scooter from the center and has the better beach right out the front with amazing snorkeling. still has lots of great restaurants near. pool is very clean and has an excellent view. Breakfasts were big and delicious. nice and quiet, we had the top villa which is for sure the best if you’re okay to climb a few stairs.
outdoor shower was a highlight.
We had such an easy and relaxing stay at the Bali Dream house. Very easy to organise airport pick up which took us directly from Denpasar to the accom. Staff were so lovely and helpful with anything we needed. Accommodation is right on the beach with snorkeling in the water, no boat needed. The hotel also lent us masks free of charge. Helped us with rides anywhere we needed and information on local spa/restaurant/courses etc
Lovely spacious rooms just on, in my opinion, the best beach in Amed, Lipah Beach. Comfortable bed, nice hot water in the shower, good AC and a very nice balcony overlooking the blossoming trees. Nice restaurant too right on the beach. And, very nice and helpful staff. Also, Amed is great as a starting point if you want to visit places like Tirta Gangga and Lempuyang Temple, which the hotel helped me organize.
Awesome infinity pool, and very well maintained garden on the premise. The villa has a small kitchen, with stuff for cooking, and even a blender. There is also a medium sized fridge. The furniture is pretty, with Balinese motif. I appreciate the owners fpr providing a big water bottle with water dispenser on our request, as we hate to buy bottles and contribute to pollution.
Remote area of Bali which gave a really traditional feel and being away from tourists for a while was a real blessing.
The staff were all so friendly and were so kind and willing to take us round Amed on their bikes.
Went out fishing on a traditional boat and fished by hand which was such a unique experience! Highly recommended even for young travellers!
The Guesthouse is right on the beach and central so there are lots of restaurants and shops nearby. The room was massive with a king size bed, the bed was really comfy. The AC worked well and it was really hot when I was there. The breakfast was a typical free breakfast you get in Bali, good portion size for me and delicious.
I loved my stay here. Best place so far during my Bali trip. The staff is the best. Room is clean, comfy bed, equipped with all you need. Good Location in Amed. Loved the garden.
If you need driver from airport or some where else in Bali they are happy to pick you up/drive you to a good price.
I will for sure come back!
Beautiful ocean view and right across the street from the beach. Host, Katut was wonderful and very helpful to arrange motorbike rental, snorkel rental and boat to Gilis. The room was clean and spacious, the bed was so comfortable and the lockers were very big. One of the nicest hostels I’ve stayed in, in Bali.
The best hotel of our Bali trip. We also stayed there before covid and it did not change. Next to the perfect beach for sunset, clean, and beautiful. The breakfast is good, the staff is super nice and helpful and will arrange motorbike rental and transfer to/from your next destination at good price.
This is a very nice place. The pool was great, no bugs (which we found in every other pool we went to around Bali) the food was great, even met the chef, who was super nice. The rooms were sparse, but nice. Had a wardrobe that locked, a safe, and a mini fridge. The outdoor shower area was pretty.
Amed Stop Inn is a lovely family run hostel. It's on the main road, not far from a beautiful beach, and backs on rice fields with iconic views. The hosts are really welcoming and helpful. I wished we could have stayed more than one night. It's on my list to come back next time in Bali
Nice and comfortable room right on the beach. It's a shame that I only stayed for one night. Owners very nice. The restaurant right on the beach was amazing and had a great atmosphere. The food was one of the best I ate in Bali. I will definitely stay here again next time!!
Large balcony overlooking the pool, garden & ocean. One of the best showers we've experienced in Bali. Super comfy bed with a mozzie net in a large room. Complementary drinking water. The staff were helpful. Only a short walk down the road to Lipah Beach.
best beachfront akomodatifnya in amed very quite clean best in amed room cleaan best spot view open window or room see beach best in amed. staff was amazing help full oragnize everything you can do in amed
the property is really nice and cosy ,the rooms are big and spacious , over looking the best sandy beach in Amed , and the best part is the beach we saw turtles and snorkeled with it❤️
The owners family is great. The hotel is good and cozy to stay for few night. You can also book a boat tour from the family and do snorkeling in Amed. We had great dinner together.
