Kavala is a great Aegean port town, not too little, not too big. It offers an amazing value for travelers since it has great bars, cafes and restaurants at a very reasonable price. It has something for everyone, history, culture, shopping, cuisine. There are some luxury places and some cheap (yet very good) places. In the summer also offers easily accessible beaches.

    A great city!

A great city! The old town is beautiful and the views of the city are amazing! The center is easily walkable and the shops combine both big chains as well as small local shops, so everyone can find what they are looking for. There are a myriad of options for coffee or food. We had the best fish in Kavala! Lastly, the beaches were by far the best in Northern Greece, with fine sand and crystal clear waters! All in all, it is definitely worth a visit!

Great historic sites, beaches and Greek restaurants with authentic food and local wine options. The city is busy and parking can be an issue but if you are happy to walk and sightsee and immerse yourself in the culture, it is a fantastic spot!

A beautiful city with picturesque town planning.

A beautiful city with picturesque town planning. An interesting piece of history. Variety of shops, delicious food, fresh seafood. Fresh fruits and vegetables. Every Saturday there is a large market in the city with agricultural products of producers from the region. Parking problems. Not enough parking spaces. There are only three paid parking lots in the central part. One of them is by the port, which is quite far from the city center.

The hotel was very nice, with a beautiful port and sea view, big room with new furniture, and a swimming pool on the top floor. The breakfast was very generous and tasty, and the staff was very helpful. The location was super central, close to the main street and to the old town. Definitely recommend! ps: If you stay in Kavala, highly recommend Ammofoloi beach - less than 30 minutes away by car - crystal clear water, soft sand and great beach bars :)

Location is so good and Its the center of town. Parking lot is 200m away, you have to pay for it but it’s discounted for the hotel guests. There are very nice taverns and restaurants nearby. The room we stayed had a small balcony that feels like you’re sitting in a coffeehouse. Room itself was nice, it was adequate for a small trip.

Location was the center of the Kavala!(Kavala Marina) You are staying in a yacht with a exceptionally helpful host (Max). Rooms were clean but of course a little bit narrower than a hotel room but this is something normal because you stay in Yacht. Breakfast was really good and I like the main living room in the yacht best.

The location of the hotel is simply amazing. You are able to see the whole Kavala port and the old city. The breakfast gets server on the 7th floor of the hotel with a magnificent 360-degree view of the city. We also had a free room upgrade, which made the whole experience way better than we initially planned.
