Beautiful place located near Kalavryta on a small hill. You are surrounded by trees have a nice view on mountains around you and also a horse and cats will greet you outside your accomodation. The landlord lady is very nice and knows her business well. She does it since decades and you can feel her passion and experience of this long time in every corner of her business: Nice architecture, welcoming atmosphere, high quality rooms and furniture with love to details. Breakfast was amazing and if you come back from it some magic elves will already have cleaned your room and made your beds. We always were surprised by the excellent timing of that! So if you want quiet, nature, romantic atmosphere and premium feeling, go for it!

Kalavrita is a gorgeous town with lots of Greek History important sites, amazing nature walks and hike, lovely very affordable food and welcoming people. Even if you don't ski, as it is known for the ski resort, there are lots of things to enjoy. I will definitely revisit as 3 days at Kalavrita were barely enough.

Kalavrita is a nice town (bigger and more lively then expected... but again not a big town). We found a good restaurant offering a big variety of Greek food.
When we were there after the mid of August there was a nice concert in the main square and there were many people around. The shops were opened as well.
We saw the orthodox Monastery of Kalavrita (it is free) and I recommend the visit, there was a nice atmospheare.

Kalavrita is a nice get away.
Kalavrita is a nice get away. You don’t have to go to ski, just being in the quaint town it’s perfect. Strolls, eating out, there are some awesome places to eat. You can retreat in the warmth of your room. Read, chill or just watch a good flick. Also there are places to see that are not far.

We visited the Holocaust museum, that is realized in the real original school building where Nazist soldiers activated the massacre of Kalavitra inhabitants. Very well organized, effective, emotional

The best thing about Kalavrita is the train journey up and back down. The town itself is nothing special but the scenery and surroundings are wonderful. Stay at Chalet Azanias. You will not be disappointed.

We arrived in the late afternoon, stayed a day to ride the narrow gauge railway in the gorge, visit the museum, and the Memorial site on the hill. The town is very nice with nice shops and restaurants. It was a bit quiet in October, but we found everything we needed. The train ride was scenic and the museum very interesting if you are interested in WWII history. It's a very sad chapter of history of course, but very well presented to honor the many victims and tell the story. The ride up to Kalavryta from the autobahn is amazing! We didn't get to visit the two monasteries nearby. You may want to consider a full two days if you want to see them as well.
perfect spot if you want to go skiing or snowboarding in Kalavryta. It's a spacious flat up to 4 people. The kitchen and the bathroom is well equipped. There's even a guitar, a smart Tv and multiple terraces if you care to sit outside in the sun. What else should I say? The host was super friendly and has already put bread, coffee and greek honey on the breakfast table before our arrival. Yes this a very nice and friendly place to spend your holiday.
Delightful family-run hotel above Kalavryta. The owners were very passionate about this venture and always striving to find ways to improve the hotel. Large bedroom with very comfortable bed and a modern ensuite bathroom. Very satisfying breakfast with homemade cakes. The owners could not have been more helpful sorting out a number of queries we gave them and were full of useful information on the delightful town of Kalavryta.
This place is really sweet! Its location is excellent, the rooms are really pleasant and spacious and very clean! The owner of the most amazing hotel there is! Exceptional hospitality from the owners of the hotel. The room was very comfortable, clean and with continuous heating. From the center of Kalavrita, the hotel was in a very close distance (3-4 minutes on foot). Last but not least, the breakfast was fantastic. You should try the two jams, which are homemade.
