Host were extremely friendly and accommodating and even let us drop our bags off early and gave us a complimentary bottle of wine. They were very good about keeping contact and helping us. The Villa is only a 5 min walk from the beach and a really great restaurant. There are some convenience stores less than a 10 min walk away. They have an outdoor shower too which was great for rinsing off sand before going anywhere. The Villa is gorgeous and posh. Wonderful beds and showers and even a fire pit. This location is great for long stays.

The hosts were very friendly and helpful. The kitchenette was minimalistic, but sufficient for our daily cooking. Our most favorite place was the terrace (we stayed on the ground floor, "Superior Studio"). You can enjoy looking at the beautiful garden and listening to cicadas at night. We appreciated that towels and bed linen were changed regularly.
The wonderful sandy beach is just 5 minutes walking distance. The shallow water is ideal for small children.
There is a nice local car rental nearby that offers good prices.
An important note to keep in mind: there are two places called Agios Georgios in Corfu. The northern one is close to Paleokastritsa and usually pops up in the online guides. The villa is located in Agios Georgios South. To our taste, the southern one is way better :D

We have traveled in the main land Greece and it was great. IN my opinion, Corfu is over rated. It is a big island full of cars with traffic lights not working anywhere. So, there is traffic in the Corfu town and surrounding and no place to park. The building are all old and run down and nobody cares about restoring or painting them although the town makes a lot of money from tourists. There is not much to see except for an old fortress and the Achilleion palace which is closed for renovation. Beaches are just average sandy or rocky beaches and not comparable to the mainland beaches in terms of beauty. If you want to go around the island, it takes you hours to drive and may not worth your time and cost of rental car and gas.

The property is extremely good with a big green garden .and the host was very friendly and helpful. I would recommend the house for families with children as well. The village is a very typical narrow purpose place - I'd call it one street village akka main road plus to the left the beach to the right the houses. I have chosen it primarily for the beach. The village has everything one could need for holiday and its huge added value is reliable public bus scheme allowing to get to Corfu town or other villages on the south of the island. The key disadvantage (at least at the time of my stay mid July 2023) is that the public bus do not go to the north of the island, so for example no visit to Paleokastrisa for patty cash price, but one can have private boat rides toward north for a solid price.

The apartments are exceptionally clean, perfectly equipped with everything you would need, even for a longer stay, with a beautiful garden and just 2 min away from a fascinating sandy beach. The owners of Gerekos studios are exactly as exceptional as their house, just unique people with warm hearts and so welcoming. If you want to explore South Corfu with all its beautiful nature, Gerekos studios should be your choice. :)

The main restaurants and beach of Agios Georgios are about 25 mins walk. You may want a car if you’d prefer not to walk. We would stay here again. Having a washing machine was great and loved being able to use the push bike for a quick visit to the supermarket. Lovely terrace at the apartment with hammock. Highly recommended.
