We were visiting relatives who live in Shardlow and were lucky enough to be there when the Inland Port Festival was taking place. We had an excellent meal in the Clock Ware house and drinks. We enjoyed a drink at New Inn, The Malt Shovel and Shakespeare Inn. We had a walk along the canal and surrounding area. We had a canal boat trip which was really good. Our stay overall was wonderful.

Mainly spread along a busy road, a few decent size pubs along the way and one very large Marston eatery, and a curry house that does not have a drink licence, whatever next☹️. Had to get a drink, at the pub across the road, and take it in, then return the glasses later.🤔 Another couple of eateries down on the canal area. There is also a museum that tells you about the area, which I believe was once what they call an inland harbour. All in all, it's nice to walk round, have a meal and a beer here n there and, once away from the busy road, enjoy the canal walks.
