The location was ideal for what I wanted as I needed to attend some performances held on the Market Square in Preston City Centre.
I like the self check-in side of things, as it allowed independence.
It was also very near to the train station and the lovely little park in front of the building was ideal to relax and enjoy the sunshine.

I was visiting family so that was good, It has tried to be a cafe society and there are some nice small cafe's and artisan bars but the people are depressing, seem happy to walk round eating burgers and drinking cans of beer. like all towns lots of empty properties, charity shops etc.
Will be good when the Harris museum opens again next year.

I only visit when I have to, visiting family.
I only visit when I have to, visiting family. I have made several trips over four years. First impression was of a grubby town, streets and public spaces covered in litter. Sprawling industrial parks on the outskirts. Ubiquitous pavement parking makes it dangerous pulling out of residential side streets. I have found little of cultural interest to do in the city, apart from the museum, which has been closed for refurbishment. No decent venues for live music or theatre that I am aware of. Easy enough to get a basic and pleasant meal from the usual restaurant chains. I haven't made much attempt to research into more interesting venues for eating out, apart from RK dining which is great for vegetarian/Asian takeaways. I think there is a good range of different cuisines if you look for it. I guess the University is Preston's saving grace from being a purely industrial town. It is reasonably easy to navigate the city centre on foot or by car, and regular buses. It does have a good number of well maintained and accessible public parks, and a good walking route via the Guild wheel. Brockholes is a good place for nature, although close to a motorway. A range of pleasant areas of Lancashire countryside are a short drive outside city.

Preston is a lovely town.
Preston is a lovely town. I visit because I have close family there, but I wouldn't say it is a hub for tourists. There are fantastic attractions, like Hoghton Tower, and the downtown area is very quaint. When with family, we usually go to a great fairly local pub or other restaurant for lunch/dinner, and there are plenty of those with great food and ambiance. I love going for walks in the local area.

Love this area at Barton and surrounding areas of it.
Love this area at Barton and surrounding areas of it.
We love the Barton Grange garden centre and the lovely resteraunts in the pubs in the local area are really friendly.
The spa facilities at barton Manor are really good and ecelant friendly staff there too.
Thank you to the team for welcoming me and Jett so well. The home cooked food and personality of the staff make this hotel a great place to stay. I loved being welcomed at the door and shown to my room, heating on for out arrival with dog bed, bowl and treats to settle us in. Thank you for enabling and welcoming Jett at breakfast, with a plate of sausages just for him and a real heartfelt awareness of how much this means to owners.
The rooms are spacious and well equipped, tidy and clean. A real home from home. We will be staying again
Everything. The staff were incredibly kind, understanding and chill. The decor was really nice, the beds were COMFY! The breakfast was very nice. A very nice touch that I love is they had things bought from local independent businesses. They even let us take some drinks and pastries for the journey home! And the price was a LOT cheaper than other "budget" hotels.
Definitely staying here again!
Also phone them directly if you want a better price!
The new large Costa coffee and Morrison's local just over the road. Hotel quiet but still easy access to Blackpool/Preston area.
Attached bar/ restaurant quite good next door definitely not souless like a Travelodge. Staff great. Food and drink pretty good and not expensive. Other various eating options close to hotel.
Family room great size.
All in all superb value
Only 20 minutes walk to the train station and shopping district. I liked the fact that it was away from town, but well within walking distance. Staff was nice enough to allow me to stay in the flat all 30 days rather than switching mid-stay. Very short walk to nearby shop for food, bevvy and sundries. 20 minutes walk to Miller Park (must visit). Quiet location.
Very easy check in & check out, beautiful place with welcoming rooms, and check-out isnt until 11am so you dont have to get up too early hahaha. This was our third time staying here, I think it’s our go-to hotel when staying in Preston, parking also feels very secure. The staff are always really helpful and friendly too.
Visited the Hotel for a night out in Preston with work. Great work by Emma to be able to set up an early check in for me on the day of arrival. Room was large and clean , bed comfy, and breakfast was good too. Hotel arranged a taxi for me to my event too so happy all round. Will be back again sometime. Thank You everyone
Good location not far from Preston train station and close to my employment.
Big spacious room with WiFi and tea / coffee making facilities, very comfy big double bed. Toilet with bath and shower.
Big wall mounted TV connected to net with lots of apps.
Takeaways and pubs in walking distance.
Room was spacious and had a nice view over Preston and beyond
Bed was very comfortable and breakfast was excellent
All staff were friendly and nothing was too much trouble, even mentioned that the Wallace and Grommet statue had been unveiled the day before in the city centre
The hotel was in a quiet location with ready access onto the the motorway and into Preston. Cooked breakfasts were very tasty and lunches & dinners were good and reasonably priced. The staff were very personable and my room was clean and pleasant.
The room was excellent and very comfortable. The kitchen facilities were fantastic. And it was only a short walk in to Preston City Centre. I would recommend the property as an excellent alternative to the local big hotels.
Free parking on premises was what helped us choose this hotel over others. The included breakfast was a great addition. Comfortable room and friendly helpful staff. It is a 30 minute walk to the center of Preston.
I liked the hotel overall, it was very clean and the staff were all very friendly. The bed was super comfortable I didn't want to get out of it. The bathroom was also very clean and the shower was awesome.
The apartment size was excellent, the location was spot-on, being next to the train station and the rain shower head provided was great. We experienced a great stay.
Location was central. We were traveling from Carlisle to Warwick and stopped for dinner in Preston. We booked the room at dinner and it was only minutes away.
