The room was dressed nicely, bed was comfortable, shower worked nicely, there was coffee and tea, and the room was a good size. Very comfortable, and I slept well.

Room was good.
Breakfast was OK once we'd worked out how to go about it. We were given no instructions on how to order or whether it was self service - it wasn't but there was nobody around to serve us. A few instructions at check-in would have been helpful.

I ended up at the Black Horse after being stranded at Peterborough due to an LNER situation - I tried booking hotels in town and they had run out of spaces so I randomly chose a reasonably priced one that was accessible - which ended up being the Black Horse. It looked very nice from the photos and lived up to this image - it's a gorgeous place - an old-fashioned inn with a restaurant, bar and rooms, beautifully decorated. The young woman on duty who checked me in (I can't remember her name but she was great) was extremely welcoming, reassuring and accommodating. The dinner was exceptional - the best gluten-free fish and chips I have tasted! (Coeliacs should check if the tartare sauce is gluten free though) It was great to be so warm and well-fed in such a nice environment after being stuck on the train and then a cold platform for several hours. I'd definitely recommend this place. My room was large and comfortable with space to work and a really good shower. They even let me work remotely the next morning teaching music online no bother! (In fact I got a round of applause from the locals in bar next door when I finished :D) Altogether very friendly, comfortable, amenable and relaxed place. The young bar staff were also great - relaxed, resourceful and accommodating. I'd definitely choose to stay here if I was in the area again, absolutely.

Comfortable, functional. Good swimming and sauna facilities.
Breakfast range of foods/ drinks was good especially the vegan/gluten free smoothies and fruit section. Dinner was quite pricey for what it was and also too salty though a decent meal overall.

Peterborough came across as poor and unloved.
I walked through the centre of town on a Wednesday night around 10:30 and did not feel safe - not normally affected like this.
There are groups of homeless people around the town, not necessarily bothering people but they need support and shouldn’t be left to roam the streets. Far more homeless here than anywhere I visited recently.
This was a work visit, I would not visit for pleasure

Peterborough not the best city in the world, but a few shops to mooch about it, and plenty of places to eat and drink. Mum and I took a trip to the cinema. Was nice. This hotel IS NOT in the town centre. Its a little drive. But that is what we wanted.

There is a excellent centre that has a good variety of restaurants, shops and corner little shops. Named chains and independent retailers. There is also historical aspects if you want to know more about Peterborough's history. There are reasonable priced car parking places. If not wanting to drive the coach and train stations are very local if you want to leave the car at home!.
Convenience of location close to town centre. Very handy if you are travelling by train. Due to train strike we didn't but there is plenty of parking at the hotel although at a cost of £5 for 24hrs. The hotel staff are very friendly. Wasn't changed for two soft drinks by the barman. The gentleman who attended to us as breakfast was very attentive. Breakfast was lovely although it has changed somewhat from our last stay.
The hotel was situated within a short walking distance from the city centre, with bus stops close by with a regular service by numerous buses to the bus station in the centre, near the railway station. My standard double room was a good size, clean with a very comfortable bed. A good hot, self service breakfast was provided in a large area on the ground floor, which was also the bar and restaurant during the day.
The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The hotel was very clean but quite old fashioned. Breakfast was served in your your room at your selected time. There was a choice of items both hot and cold. There was no seperate bar but you could get drinks from the attached restaurant. There was free car parking and the car parked was secured overnight. Its about a 10 minute walk from the main town centre.
This hotel was used as a over night stop to go to a chairty event hosted at Peterborough FC. The staff are incredibly polite and welcoming.
The hotel is standard but the cost including brekky which was small but hot and attention to detail exceptional. I wouldn't hesitate to come back if needed or stay at another express.
The Milestone Hotel was extremely well located for me as I was attending an event in Yaxley. It is very close to the A1(M) and only 5 minutes drive from Yaxley and about 10 minutes drive to Peterborough,
Staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was very comfortable and well supplied and breakfast was good.
The hotel was easy to get to as it's located off the main road. Free parking is always a bonus. Short walk into Peterborough and the New Theatre. A spacious, clean room with a comfortable bed. The breakfast was delicious with lots of choice.
Room temperature was freezing with the out side temperature was minus 8 on 21st January, also bed smell in the room from the carpet or smoking even though hotel is non smoking
Very uncomfortable mattress
Lovely spacious room, tastefully decorated, elegant and refined. From check in to check out all staff we encountered were exceptionally gracious. We really enjoyed the old fashioned grand hotel ambiance.
I love this hotel. The rooms are always cosy and clean. I always stay here when I travel to Peterborough.
I give this hotel 9/10, it would be 10/10 if they installed plugs near the mirrors.
Stayed in Room 10 , lovley room ,well presented, clean and lots of tea and coffee.

Value for money is exceptional.
