The Auckland Hotel, hotel in Morecambe

Facing the beachfront, The Auckland Hotel offers 3-star accommodation in Morecambe and has a shared lounge, terrace and restaurant.

We booked a last minute get away with 4 children and we got lucky! We've stayed at some beautiful hotels, hotels that are more modern and new but they are never as clean as this hotel is. From entering the door the place is immaculate. We had a lovely quiet stay. Very comfortable would definitely recommend. Thank you for having us x

Great location within walking distance to the town along the sea front. Fantastic owners, nothing was too much trouble, and very informative about the local area. I Love Morecambe.

I Love Morecambe. There is a good community feel about Morecambe. i have wonderful Tai reasonably priced massages when I am there. There are street plantings and lots of seating. Good charity shops. Very good eating places. Lots of inspiring street art. The Morecambe bay views and sunsets are fantastic and the northern lights can be viewed from there. We ate plant based food at the Midland Hotel which was reasonably priced. It is easy to get around. the buses are regular and you can get rides in pony traps. I would never go to The Clifton hotel again but it was cheap.

It's on the up and is my town of choice whenevrer I have to use the ferry from Heysham. Great shops and a lovely prom. when the weather is nice! Close enough to Lake District and Blackpool to use as a base.

Some of it has been regenerated but it still needs a lot of money investing to bring it up to scratch. There are very few places to eat at night. Pubs and bars are run down. Hopefully the Eden Project will inject new life into it.

    Morecambe is in poor shape.

Morecambe is in poor shape. Boarded up and derelict buildings abound. Much of it has the feel of rougher areas of Manchester rather than a coastal resort almost in the Lake District. It also seems too spread out. Instead of the main things being centred around one area, they seem to be dotted about here and there, in a strange, disjoint way.

Last minute night away and we are so happy we choose this lovely apartment. The instructions provided were clear and precise with parking bay included. The entrance was welcoming and on arrival into our apartment No 3 with balcony and outside area with seating. It was warm and welcoming. Everything was spotless and well arranged. The lounge and dining/ kitchen are bright and spacious. With everything you need. Bedrooms too are roomy and a lovely bathroom with bath and shower over. Plenty of fresh towels.

this is by far the best hotel in Morecambe, The reception ladies Margaret and Julie were fantastic at all times day and night. made you feel like you were a friend and not a guest. Had a bit of an issue with the room this time but Margaret sorted it out straight away. This is the 3rd time we have stayed here and will not stay any where else
