Fortingall Hotel, hotel in Kenmore

Fortingall is a charming 4-star country house hotel near Aberfeldy, at the entrance to Glen Lyon and the gateway to the beautiful Scottish Highlands.

The hotel was lovely, and the staff were incredible and really made the whole experience. We arrived on the Friday when they have live music which was loud as we were above the bar, but the moment we checked in they told us exactly when this would end and it did. They did ask us if we needed it to end earlier to ask and its be switched off in a heart beat. The music was actually really great and we didn't feel any need to ask! Again the staff were incredible and a credit to the hotel.

Ailean Chraggan, hotel in Kenmore

Located in Aberfeldy, a 14-minute walk from Castle Menzies, Ailean Chraggan has accommodations with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a restaurant.

We stayed two nights in two different rooms and both were spacious and comfortable. The private bathrooms were fitted with large showers and heated towel racks. Breakfast was full Scottish or a choice of several other options including smoked salmon. Parking on site was close and off the road. The view from the restaurant and the covered veranda was of fields and mountains where we watched deer and rabbits during our meals. We returned for a second night because we enjoyed the first so much. The owner was there for both breakfast be and dinner. He is a wonderful host and very attentive.

Cozy Newly Renovated Town Centre Apartment, hotel in Kenmore

Cozy Newly Renovated Town Centre Apartment offers accommodations in Aberfeldy, 1.6 miles from Castle Menzies and 22 miles from Blair Castle.

Absolutely lovely spot. It had everything I needed and was close to everything but tucked back so it was quiet. The outdoor seating area by the burn was a special treat in the mornings. The flat was modern and comfortable and impeccably clean. A little tricky to find at first as it is around the far side of the building, but the friendly locals helped me out.

This is a great location for outdoor activities.

This is a great location for outdoor activities. Two of our group climbed Ben Lawers, and two did open water swimming. It is also a fab location for cycling. The facilities are all to high standard. Dinner in the restaurant was excellent, and when asked they also provided vegan options. Do look out for evidence of beavers along the river Tay.

Kenmore is located at the top of Loch Tay, which offers you breathtaking views over the lake, you have the option to go on beautiful walks to Taymouth Castle or through the forest along the lake. Beautiful place, away from all the noise of everyday life - very quiet and relaxed place. I definitely recommend this to everyone who is looking for a holiday to unwind and relax. You do need a car, I don't think there is any public transport.

I’ve come to Kenmore for many years & this was the first time I have stayed here. I was a part of the Multi Sport Festival & couldn’t fault the location. was perfect!! rooms were very spacious & clean. Staff were so lovely & helpful - especially the porter at 5am dishing us breakfast! It was very much appreciated!! I had dinner in the restaurant and the staff were so welcoming - especially as i was a solo female traveller I was made to feel so at ease.

As a family with a 3 year old our stay was very enjoyable. The accommodation was excellent and well thought out for children staying with games, a toilet step, kids hands wash and smart TV. The location is superb situated in the Taymouth Marina complex and overlooking Loch Tay. Its location is perfect for nipping into Kenmore, Aberfeldy and Pitlochry along with a short walk down to the lochside. Would highly recommend a stay.

Very misleading visit to the Kenmore club, i paid £181 for 1 night, upon arrival i had to pay an extra £12 for electricity, which im sure you pay a hotel to cover that. But then another card payment of £100 deposit which i have not had back. The cottage was very out dated, carpet was grubby, not impressed at all. Dont stay here go over the road to Mains of taymouth.

The property was cozy, the bath was perfect, the sauna was excellent and easy to use, the bed was comfortable and the fire was warm and relaxing. We love Kenmore, Aberfeldy and the surrounding area but have struggled to find good places to stay. This solved that for us without question and we've already booked to come back!

The cottage was clean, comfortable and well furnished. The location was great for walking to the loch and the restaurants as my husbands mobility isn’t great. We had a lovely meal at the Waterfront restaurant and a stroll to Acharn. This was our second stay at Deuchars cottage and will definitely be back as we love Kenmore.
